What is a simple way, if there is one, to tell if an engine being sold to you has never been run and is in deed NIB?? I'm looking at some engines on E-Bay that I posted in an other thread and some guys said they look used?? The TD .05 has castor oil OK...the Venom Engine looks pretty new to me....but what do you ask the owner to varify NIB as advertised? Thankx!

One of the easiest things to ask the seller to do is remove the glow head and take a picture of the filament area of the glow head and the top of the piston. You want them to be free of any castor residue. Granted, it may not be perfect, but will give adequate piece of mind if you suspect an engine is used.
