They're everywhere! They're everywhere!
A few years ago I bought a Brodak Baby Flite Streak.
I don’t know why, but I just didn’t feel like building it, so in the closet it went. It sat in the closet for years up in Oregon, then went in a box for the move to Oklahoma, and then sat in the garage waiting to be put somewhere. This evening I was straightening up the garage and moved the BFS to my bench. Just for giggles, I opened the box to look at the kit. Not that I’m going to do anything with it. Just to ‘Oooh!’ and ‘Ahhh’ over it. Lookie what was in the box!
Tee Dees are everywhere! Back when I first bought this kit, I guess I cleaned and oiled up this .051 with the intent of using it right away in a build, but forgot about it when I decided to pack away the kit.

Always fun to find an engine that you forgot you even had. A nice early .051 too.

Just to ‘Oooh!’ and ‘Ahhh’ over it. Cracked me up imagining it. You do have exciting adventures with your house moves and they are always good for a laugh!

That seems to be an old stock 051 with thin wall cylinder, and taper bore...a rare find nowadays., good for you, Mark!.

Re: They're everywhere! They're everywhere!
Mark, the Brodak baby FLite Streak is a terrific plane. It's not like the Top Flite version. It has a lot of parts to it. The Baby Lightning Streak wing is more like the original Top Flite version. The leading edge is a bit problematic but it does come out nice if you take your time. I don't build with CA so this was a lot easier to re adjust if needed. If you do decide to build this plane, use the fuse as a copy and find your hardest piece of 1/4" balsa. The single leg landing gear can be a tripper and in this situation, mine flipped snapping the fuse at the rear of the wing.
