Available now at a Hobby shop not near you!
Came across this today at my local LHS, $100 complete plus extra's.
It appears to have never been crashed not sure if $100 is a good deal. If anyone wants it let me know and I will grab it for you. Payment made beforehand of course. TX sales tax is 8.25%
(Mitch this would be more fun than your Star Wars CL)
I hated leaving it behind.......

Man! Wish my LHS would get things like this in stock! And at that price! My LHS likes to crank prices WAY up. To a point where it is not sensible to buy from them.

The owner of this LHS couldn't give a tinkers cuss about anything Cox related. Hence the price. He probably got it for next to nothing and it's all markup. Price seemed reasonable to me as well but, I have no clue as to the value of these.

May I remind you that it may have been there on consignment?
Don't be so harsh on your LHS. You are lucky to have one.

My harness stems from his unwillingness to help me with my projects and his la dee da answers to my questions. The only thing I use that hobby shop for is odds and ends. He bought the remaining stock of a good hobby shop that closed down.
He thinks glow engines are a waste of time......his words.
I suppose I am lucky to have one.

I asked the owner to do the same for me. Haven't heard a thing. He didn't even mention the plane when I saw him today.

The "body lanuage" is quite unmistakable. Spend some $$$$ and watch him smile.

You guys are funny,
The counter is actually in the background. The guy in the grey T-shirt is one of the employees.
The two guys in the forground are actually looking at buying a trainer. The one on the right is feeding the guy with his arms crossed some schpiel about what trainer he needs. As you can see the wasn't buying it and was more interested in me taking the picture.
Anybody know if that Cessna is a good trainer? Is that just a regular QZ mounted up front and is it throttled?
It looked almost brand new and probably unmodified.

I hear that they are fairly easy to fly. Should have a QZ, like you said with piped muffler.
Not sure what radio equipment it came with - you could probably lighten it up a bit by using modern stuff.

I took the pic of the plane. The people were just there to muck up a photo of a nice Cox Product.
I never thought anyone would even comment on anything but the Cessna.
Paul Harvey, good story teller. Shame he passed away......

Matt,
Looks like the Cox Cobra was the radio originally supplied. Upon further review it seems they go for around $100 or a tad more BNIB so I will probably pass on this one.

...so offer 'em $75, if it's complete w/ Tx
FYI- Paul Harvey was a avid R/C modeler, even manufactured lights and misc. R/C parts, i used to see his ads in the 70's mags.

Re: Available now at a Hobby shop not near you!
As Mark has suggested an offer my well fetch the prize.
Used airplanes in LHS's are often there on consignment from the actual owner who MAY accept a lower price if the plane has been for sale for a time. Only very rarely does the LHS have a finacial ownership of the plane or equipment.
Never hurts to "haggle" on used items. (Why do I know this?)

Re: Available now at a Hobby shop not near you!
Back in the 80's, a couple of guys in our "Non-Club" had Cox Cessna's that, I believe were modeled after the 210 "Centurion". They flew them 'till they were both rotten with fuel.
Those planes were great flyers, and could be set up as trainers with minimal control throws, or made to hot-dog with the throws increased. The one thing that stands out about them was the servo/control horn installation, that quickly loosened with multiple flights. The guys added rails and screws to hold the servos, and replaced the horns with after-market units.
To someone who was going to fly it, a hundred bucks doesn't seem too bad if all is good with the plane and radio.
P.S. CHECK EVERYTHING FOR DRY-CELL LEAKAGE !!!! The "Cancer" of electrical devices !!!

Tell you what boys you'd never in a million years get something ready to fly here in a shop for 60 quid.
P.S.
Man with arms folded....
I must get stronger glasses.
