Cool plane! I like it!

My question is at what point is it time to stop building models and get a pilot's license?

I think this guy is pushing that envelope! I mean you need an actual hangar to store that!

I wonder how many hoops he had to jump through to get the BMFA to allow him to fly it?

It is some nice handiwork though.

Uh, yeah I meant Belgium Model Flyers Association........ I'm an idiot, thanks for pointing that out. 1000 lashes for me then! Embarassed

I just thought it was a European thing. I actually had to go look that acronym up. Maybe I should have done that before I popped off.

You have to admit though, it is totally realistic in flight, even sounds right! and being that big means it flies without twitches and jiggles, after all, as is always said, you can't scale wind or water!

these seidel engines are VERY realistic. i've seen one live in a geebee,
it rattles your ear drums when your near it. they are available in 2 stroke glow and 4 stroke.

With the risk of sounding like my old schoolteacher:
This is not a Seidel, it is a 800cc Valach engine (and the model in a 62% scale).
I am sure Seidel never made a 2-stroke radial, but might be corrected on that one.

Some Seidel engines has been made in India and they should not be as good quality-wise as of those from Germany (no wonder). I think Horizon hobbies is now the owner of Seidel??

Thing that REALLY worries me with these huge models is, how long will it be before some lunatic hits on the idea of sending his child up for a joyride?
