Re: Lying cheating scumbag
I've been watching Iamplanecrazy's 9 cylinder build on RCG. But he hasn't gotten back to it to finish it in a while.

Phil I believe, an English guy.
Yes
He's an engineering tool maker of 50 years and has
An incredible knowledge and talent.
To qualify, apart from the cox bits, carb and bearings
He made everything.
I've been reading other bits and pieces elsewhere which seem
To make different (not necessarily wrong) assumptions.
I predict now this is 'out there' others will appear
Within a year or so.
I took a couple more shots of that
Casing which I think is bordering on a piece of art.
I dropped a Cox silencer with him for him to adapt so
This may be a bit quieter next time.

What's the power to weight like?
Probably not but does it have any hope of flying?
Indra

Re: Lying cheating scumbag
It's far from heavy Indra, and probably under proped with that
10 6. I doubt Phil will fly it it would mean quite a small plane.
If you look around utube you'll see his 7 cylinder Gloucester
Gladiator though.

Re: Lying cheating scumbag
It is interesting how much time, effort and money a person will devote to something for no more than the satisfaction of having done it.
Even if it can never actually be mounted to a plane and flown, still it is a masterpiece that reflects the skills of the craftsman who conceived and built it.

Re: Lying cheating scumbag
Wow. Okay, that's now officially the coolest Cox motor I've ever seen. I second the video, if you please. I would love to see what it looks like trying to simultaneously start seven 049's. Is there going to be some sort of glow driver employed? Specs sir, we desire specs! Thanks for that post.
