Re: Enterprise X-15
According to what I found in google The Lockheed X-15 made it`s debut in September 17 1959 and by april 1958 Enteprise was advertising their X-15 model, I guess they beat lockheed by over a year. I think that Jerry Brofman the designer must have know that a real plane was in the works and decided to use the X-15 designation on his model. Here is pic of enterprise advertising from April 1958 Model Airplane News.

You might also be missing 1/2 of the vertical stab. and the hard spots for mounting the landing gear to the wing.

Hello Tico
The vertical fin fits if I shape the fuse accordingly. The landing gear is fixed to the wing using pieces of plywood inset on slots already milled on the underside of the wing. The landing gear wire is attached binding it with thread to the plywood before epoxing the plywood plates to the wing. This is a nice little Airplane I also have a PT-19, The Moon liner and an F-102 hollow log kits from Enterprise.

10-4 My only other recommendation would be to reinforce elevator with doped on Polyspan on both sides. It looks vulnerable to breakage in the center.

Hello Tico
Thanks for the advice I had not thought of that. The elevator is 1/16 inch and is not hard balsa.

I have seen this plane before on the bay , it looks cool and i hope you will bring us along for the build/fly ! The wood does look aged so replacements and keeping the original would bee my order

Re: Enterprise X-15
I like it a lot but as a guide to build a model a little bit bigger. The wood doesn`t look the best but shaping an airfoil like the one on the kit will some careful sanding maybe having to make a sanding form to get it right. I want to build one but not now. If I do I will post the build.
