To me it looks like a method to get a more reliable run or simply just to keep the revs down so there is no damage to the motor on a shaft run. It may have been from the factory or even home made. Possibly a rivet?

it is sur not speed down rpm but engine run bether and colder than wit other plate without part no mod no adjustment to tyming or hi comp glow plug just stock casing old piston 2 diferent cylinder same glow plug ?is cars use diferent jet it look from factory its a cars engine it look like it never open befor me cars crank case is not use. just is tank and back plate wit cars crank flyweal rpm bump so hi sound like 40 000k rpm insane sound without weal cant run engine it was my 1 try to see if engine was in condition was surprise to a point y started investigate see wat was goin on wit found part never see befor now y want more back plate like that 1 for al my ree dee engine it give a simple port cylinder wit spi a good bump rpm wil post result wit al cylinder number y have most of them from 1970 to 1990 som reely old 1 have swan nek krank number 2 cylinder wil not use older is colection engine is hard to find

backplate is goin in 1 my gtp rc cars get from ebay wit mising back plate made of 2 plastic part now find ree dee gaz tank modified is now heat sink and upgrade for reed asembly it fit perfect just like if cox have made gtp engine suport for tank on engine is cool it can be use for spare part upgade heatsink it wil cool down engine protect from piston pin scrubing fragil plastic reed from gtp just like now its a hevy duty engine bulet proof wit hd crank extra cooling heatsink it can help reed dee run hi rpm colder hope som 1 wit get my info end test it gaz tank is driled like gun shroud to let air in gaz tank fuel is in difrent tank behind fire wall
