Invariably at night I wake up reciting songs in my head.  All somehow or another are connected to my wife that I lost five years ago this coming March 13th.  Last night in order they were - I Believe, Come home it's supper time, and the theme from Breakfast at Tiffany's Moon River.

Moon River is a no-brainer, besides sharing the same first name with Audrey Hepburn my wife shared her style, mannerisms, and especially her appearance. They could have been twins.

Don't know why.  It's generational thing.

Memories can bee nice but sometimes pain full at the same time. Funny you mentioned moon river, I was singing it this morning , but got the words screwed up. I was saying Blue river. My wife promptly corrected me Very Happy

Speaking of tumbleweeds ..... Computer Issues Airplane

This happened to Clovis NM a little while back. Various emergency responders to include nearby Cannon AFB rescued residents caged up by mounds of tumbleweeds blocking doorways to their homes.

Got the original album Fred before she broke out.  Got all three, 8 track, Cassette, CD. Wore out the 8 track.  During a turbulent time in my life I used to pop the 8 track in the '74 Corvettes player and play it.  Route 5 in Maryland as fast as she could go, both Stevie and the Corvette.

Wow Fred, My emission strangled '74 Corvette featured a slush-0-matic, 195 hp and 195 fpt. My 2007 Nissan 350Z - 304 hp and a six speed would blow the doors off it.

He is actually from Sweden, and from near my home town, I've been following his work and have the T-shirt too...

Don't miss out on his latest work, an more reliable version that they can take with them on tour.

Sorry to hear of the predicament of your daughter but good to hear that they were able to correct the defect. Hope things are well with her now and you too.

I was never into hot cars, my 55 hp 1968 Hino Contessa 1300, my 67 hp 1300 cc 1967 Datsun PL411 Bluebird, and slightly more powerful 105 hp 1970 Mazda 1800. Did 24 seconds in the quarter mile at Hawaii Raceway Park in 1971 (prior to insurance companies taking down license plate numbers) with my parent's 1964 Ford Falcon 4 door with 200 c.i. in line six with 1 Carter carb and 2 speed Ford-O-Matic transmission. (It was a different world back then, kids racing their cars at a proper race facility was considered a safe outlet instead of drag racing in the streets.) Then had a 1974 Ford Pinto until I got married. Rest are family type vehicles.

My 2001 Kawasaki 1200 cc Voyager XII motorcycle with its detuned 4 cylinder 4 carb Ninja engine puts out 97 hp at 765 lbs. without rider. It is my sports vehicle, one mag clocked it at 12.6 sec. in the quarter mile back then. I like to roll the throttle and watch the cars behind me disappear.

Thanks for the bit of history, Kris and a little of his background, didn't know he lived near you. I think you mean this video below. He's improved immensely on his previous machine. This one is more refined, using different mechanics to move the marbles and generate the sounds.

Ok, wait just a darn minute.

I bypassed the first time.  Not enough hours in my day to spend watching it.  But, second time around...………….

That's fantastic.  Mathematics involved alone is mind boggling let alone the construction.  Really?  I have a hard time assimilating what I have just seen.  Do people like this really exist?  My hat's off to the guy.

Only they are probably precision ball bearings not marbles.

Overly impressed.

Going to bed now with marbles rolling around in my head. Thanks...…..I think.

Wow.  Just wow.  I am constantly amazed at what the human mind can conceive and then communicate to the human hand to create.  I can make balsa wood fly, but compared to these guys, I'm a hack. Check out what this guy does with a breeze -

I love how threads like this can just ramble around like a tumbleweed.

Here's something less ornamental but useful. However, most of us would not go through this type trouble to create a furniture article.

I'd put a glass top and make it a coffee table, too nice to sit on.
