Thank you sOoOo much for the continued great coverage of the S.M.A.L.L. event Kim! You people SURE know how to have FUN! I noticed a few C/L models. Were there any C/L flights?
Re: S.M.A.L.L. 2019...Fitz's S.M.A.L.L. comments on R/C Roundtable
Roddie, I saw at least one impromptu CL flight but the CL circle was never established due to the last minute relocation of the event and some lack of materials/manpower. It will surely be a thing at the official event in October.

Thanks Troy, That's good to know. I enjoyed watching the vids of your models flying! They're both screamers!

Kim did a great job of capturing things for us all to enjoy but keep in mind that these vids/pics are only snapshots of an event that had more going on. There were lots of other models flown, unique characters that attended, many creative insults hurled, and lots of chaos that went went largely undocumented(Thank goodness!). You have to attend SMALL to really get a feel for it. It's a neat experience that has kept me returning many times. Each year has been similar but also offered special unique moments. The friends I've made along the way have helped inspire me to get over occassional hurdles in my own building and flying. I hope that I have done the same for others along the way.
The real deal will be in October. If you think you are the kind of guy who might enjoy this sort of thing, I'm quite sure you belong there! Many of us regulars travel some distance to attend for good reason. It might change your life, or not.

Hey Brad,
I'll check and see if I got video. I know I've got some stills, but can't remember if they were photos or video captures.
I'll go through the folder on that year and post what I can find!

Thank you Kim,
Just looking for a vid on it to check the speed / rpm, much appreciated!
There is a photo of it landing on RC Groups from the fall 2018 thread.

Another great one, Kim! And another thanks for all your effort to make it! On the last morning, I felt bad when one of my .010s sawed off the lower half of that nice Flite Test Mustang's rudder. He was gracious about it and said the repair would be easy. I had to land deadstick.....as usual.
On another note, I got to see Fitz again yesterday when he showed up at the Brazoria County Modelers Assn fun-fly yesterday, my home turf. Despite gusty winds 15-20, everyone had a great time and carnage was minimal.

Yeah he seemed like a really good guy, and had lots of info on his planes. Ain't none of us TRYING to smack each other though, and I'd sure take a "chewed on rudder" over a "Mid-Air Tie" any day !!!

Doesn't surprise me to hear of our gang launching into wind!

To be honest, I didn't know/remember getting it on video! It was alone in the sky, so he ought to get a good reading!
