Quote on RCGroups
I jump between RCG, StunHanger and here...
I've had running "thread-versations" with several members on these forums, even carrying a couple across multiple forums as the winds blow.
I got a chuckle over on RCG when I read an RCG member's reference to CEF and it's members (us). I hope you laugh with me...and, yes, I believe I'm reliving my childhood. But now I can afford the toys!
"Mix of things going on over there mainly CL / Cars and discussions on Cox line of engines over the years,
parts and planes /cars they produced for the masses. Many collectors over there, who enjoyed them growing up etc."
I'm not a collector, just a big, old, kid!

Re: Quote on RCGroups
Did a little search on RC Groups to find out what you were referring to, found the thread:
RCG: Cool --Speed Planes .010 to .15 Size Engines--, Post #874
The personas speaking post here too, but under different names. RCG's Amp Abuser is our 1/2A Nut (Brad in Texas).

Re: Quote on RCGroups
I know I first saw it as Kim’s by-line as something like: “reliving my childhood hobbies, but on a much bigger budget”.
Ive used it a numver of times in various configurations, difference between men and boys....is the price of their toys.
Having more fun than humans are allowed...
CEF is top of the list , although there are others as you mentioned
Stunthanger
RCGroups
RCUniverse
Yahoo groups 049collectors, morphed into Gas Toy/ 049 Collector, and Gas Toy/ 049 collector Buy and Sell pages on Facebook.
There are a few “curmudgeons” on those other groups, not many and the moderators usually keep them in check. We are here to share knowledge, and have fun.computer comeradery!

Re: Quote on RCGroups
Heck I can't keep up with the postings on this forum, let alone visiting others. I would get nothing done.
But I do visit Bob Allan's Vintage engines on RCGroups occasionally. Picked up several rare Enyas from contributors there.

Chuckles!
You are right, Bob. Bouncing between the three is a distraction. A distraction I enjoy.
Personally, I grant myself the excuse that it helps me stay sane between mild weather flying/building and "adulting" to pay bills.
I know others have their excu...er, reasons. But I'm glad for the associations made on each and every one! Besides, it is ONLY 5 or 10 minutes here and/or there (several times a day).
