Cox engine "video" of the month
This would be a little more involved than posting an engine-photo. Your thoughts...............
Re: Cox engine "video" of the month
A static engine running or engine in motion?

I think it’s a idea worth considering . You would need buy off from Jacob as it takes his personal time to set this up on a monthly basis.
I like the in motion theme, but it may exclude participants who don’t or can’t fly a model.

Re: Cox engine "video" of the month
Well it is the yr. 2018 most of us have a way to vid our engines, could be just simply "on vid"
either moving or static to qualify. People will vote based on how well it performs, if it's interesting
how well the effort is presented, type of engine, is it getting the job done well in use car, boat, plane etc.

Re: Cox engine "video" of the month
This sounds like an interesting idea. We would have to decide whether the videos be of just the engines or of the models in motion, or both.
LOL! It probably wouldn’t take too long to put together. Or you could do it!

Balogh you can take any uploaded video of yours on YouTube and rename it resize the duration
using the edit tools. Basically pick out the portion of the video you wish to present as a entry.
Example here I edited a video saved it as another file so I could keep the original full flight
originally posted. I just wanted the best speed pass of a stock prop on a TD .010.
Just 19 seconds worth:

NANO- TD .010 / 41,985 rpm Best Pass 61 mph / Stock Prop
2ch / 3oz RC Plane 35% Nitro / Checked with Doppler Wave Scope

How about a maximum 30 second video of anything Cox powered? The more exciting the better!

I am not much of a video editor and will still have to understand how to cut the best 30s out of a 10m video..

Thanks Brad, your help, as always, is appreciated. I will work on my video until it becomes one of the best COX ads of recent times...knowing there are not too many, though...

Re: Cox engine "video" of the month
I'm not going to replace the Cox Engine of the Month, don't have to worry about that.
