Re: 73 Baja Bug
Very collectible, they pull a fair chunk of change off of Ebay. Private sale will be less of course. Something is amiss with the steering on yours.
Edit: now I see, the control rod and the locating pin is missing. Should be easy to source.

Yep it’s missing the control tie rod, the ratchet steering tab, the Indicator light, and the verticle nuckle steering pins. The funny thing is it’s never been started. I can’t understand why it’s missing the steering stuff. I get the missing tail light but the other stuff just seems odd.

Probably scavenged to repair another. I have the earlier orange version, in excellent shape except the tires are completely ruined. Been having a rough time finding a decent set. Is your’s for sale?

Very nice. I remembered Herbie movies from late 60s and 70s.

It's totally for sale, I just have absolutely no clue as to value. The EBAY values are all over the map. Value is an interesting thing. I don't need this so I'm cool discussing price. On the other hand, for instance, I value my Curtiss pusher much more and can't even think of a price that would balm my nostalgic loss if it were sold. Funny how that works.
