Yikes Joe. One of a kind Cox knock-off? Prototype? Collectors item for sure.
Does a Cox case fit it?

No it's just a bit to large, but not by much.

Huh, we might have to wait for Mark and Mud to jump onto this one... You got me thinking! Yeah, does a cox case fit it? What size engine so you think it is for?

What is too large? The case or the tank?
Re: What is this?
Where the reed holder goes into the crankcase.

Re: What is this?
The needle looks like it is from an Aurora Tornado .049, perhaps this tank is for another version for a model or prototype?
See if you can fit a cox diecast case on it.
For all I know, you may have the tank to a BSB .049 (German Cox clone). Martin has it in his wanted section, http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/cox_frameset.htm
But, I'm still feeling that it has something to do with the (K&B) Aurora Tornado .049...

Somehow I knew Mark would know what it was. Sometimes I think nitro runs through his veins lol.
Thanks to all

Re: What is this?
Thanks, but this stuff is probably always been my favorite hobby. I've been a model airplane nut since I was a kid and 'actively' started collecting 1/2a engines and plastic RTF's planes about the last fifteen years or so.
I've been lucky to have known some very knowledgeable collectors and have had access to a lot of info, that’s why I put together my web site to gather that info and share it.

Re: What is this?
Mark, there are 4 screws that mount the tank to the crankcase, but I'm missing one. Would you know the size of the screw? I removed one to test on a Babe Bee crankcase thinking they might be the same size, but the diameter was to wide. I tried a Kavan extension screw and it was long enough so I have the correct length.

Say, Joe? You wouldn't happen to be "jazzmenstuff" on eBay are you? Just wondering... I notice you bring things up on here that happen to be for sale on eBay a few days or so later and just so happen to be for sale by "jazzmenstuff".

Just wondering... If you sell things all the time, there is a thing in your profile that you can put your eBay store or "other items from seller" link in. A little button will show up next to your contacts.
Re: What is this?
I added it if I did it correctly. Thanks

I don't think you did. I just added it to mine so you can see it. Go to your profile and scroll down to the contact list, then paste the url and hit save. If you don't want it, you don't have to have it... Just letting you know its there!

I'm a dialysis patient and between work, family obligations and treatments my life has little spare time to wait in a long line in a severely under served post office. I do on occasion sell internationally as time allows.
