Does remind me about the movie "Blast from the past"
The first picture is beautifull, with the old cars. The second picture al looks a bit "worn"

Looks un-inhabited. Everything is boarded up. What is the area around it like?

re: Cox Museum
Having docent experience in a well-known automobile museum, I can tell you that is takes more than money to make a museum. Our museum has been successful because it has amassed considerable financial backing and support developed by managerial personnel with experience funding and managing museums.
Our museum is based on the large collection of over 3,000 automobiles assembled by a single local individual and is the largest privately-held collection in the world according to the Guiness Book of World Records.
A successful Cox museum would need to go through much the same process.

I know, I use to be a WW2 living historian and worked with a few museums.

Re: Original Cox factory building then and now.
your welcome.
It would be cool, we get the city fathers to declare it a historical landmark and restore it to a '1962' hobby shop/museum...and a bar & grill...kinda like a hooters/hobby shop!

That would be neat. Find one of the seinor city fathers and re-interest him back into the Cox engines world. Alot of folks had one as a child.
it's a longshot, but it might be worthwhile to pursue.
You could serve the Castor burger with the Spinner fries!!, mmm,,well, that might not be such a good item to have on the menu,,Castor Burger.
