Re: Cox Olympic .15 Rotary Drum! YOUR CHANCE TO GET ONE!
I could build a P-38 with 2 of them....
The carb body looks scuffed and possibly a start of a crack on the one side with the dirt at the mold line where the verturi screws in. Also someone took a pliers to the retaining ring.
Mines not perfect either.
I wonder if there is a market for replacement carb bodies?
Added to my watch list.

Well, you seemed to make a good cast for the one you had, perhaps get the correct plastic and make a few, list them on eBay for $20-30 or something like that. I'm sure someone will have to have it, someone who always wanted to run theirs or has one that the carb body broke or fell off of.

I thought about that but then someone with a lathe could make counterfit engines and list them. It would not be that hard.

yeah, that wouldn't be good. maybe if you mark the bodies somehow. Maybe make it a different color.

This is still a bargain yet at $228. With this excellent economy the price may not be as much as I bid last year at this time.

They could make fakes.
But if someone
Wanted to make fakes they would have done it.
If you are going to make it you can get a few carbs done.
I reckons you may sell a few of you did it,

Well, the other guy(s) bidding against you probably wanted it as bad as you did and you wanted it just a little bit more then they did. Also didn't you say you were BWI (Bidding While Intoxicated) when you bought your Olympic Drum? I remember watching a Venom sell for more then $700 a few years ago, and just about a year ago I watched a Venom sell for $95 (I should have bid, it was somewhat "hidden" but I figured it would skyrocket in the last minutes but it didn't )

You will have to pry mine from my cold dead fingers! RR-1's are much easier to find. I wasn't even trying to find RR-1's and now I have 3.
