Aloha CEF!!!
Aloha from Maui!
I’ve taken a couple of weeks off from planes to take the wife for a holiday to get our brains cleared. A few days in Maui should do it. When I get tired at the end of the day, I’ll check the boards, but I plan to be busy if I can. I've learned a few interesting things. 1) I can't pronounce the name of the State Fish. 2) Lahaina, Maui used to be the capitol of Hawaii. 3) A Hyundai key fob is surprisingly water proof (after coming out of the pool below the waterfall in the above picture, I found that I'd been swimming the whole time with the fob in my swim suit pocket).
It’s a shame I didn’t get the World’s Smallest Travelling Engine yet. It would have been cool for it to make the pilgrimage here:
Well, time to go relax. Aloha!

NICE!! I've never been there.. but would love to go! See if you can get inspired for a Hawaiian BTC-series model! Could a coconut shell be flown by a model-engine?
Re: Aloha CEF!!!
Damn Dude! I want you to go see one of the Observatories for me... and a black-sand beach... and a volcano. Or at least look up a hula dancer's skirt. Please report back!

Re: Aloha CEF!!!
I'm here on Oahu. Hope the weather stays beautiful while you're on Maui. My wife likes to go to Haleiwa beach park to watch the sunset and unwind, around 6:30 PM.

Aloha Rusty!
Actually I am on permanent vacation I left my job in 2012 and never found employment since. The high unemployment rate at that time was part of the reason. However God works in unexpected ways and provided for me and my family. I get to appreciate every waking day and try to do something constructive daily.
I bounce between repairing guitars and fishing, modifying my glow engines and fishing gear. Then my wife and family dictates my weekend. We're going on a picnic tomorrow after church. My nephew is the announcer at the local polo matches and invited the family down. My biggest worry is the weather. Hurricanes and tropical storms are common this time of the year. Other than that Its pretty boring on this tiny island

Re: Aloha CEF!!!
Well, I met a potential CEF* member today while snuba diving around Pu'u Keka'a in Ka'anapali.
I created a monster this weekend when I introduced my wife to snuba. She was interested in snorkeling, but being able to stay underwater for 45 minutes at a time really hooked her. Now she want to get her scuba certification and do a lot of diving. Unfortunately, although I am scuba certified, and I can snuba dive, my health isn't good enough to resume open water scuba. Ah, well. There's still lots to keep me busy...

Hey, All. I just got back home last night. We were fortunate and flew out right in between the hurricanes. Weather was great for all ten days I was there. Now to just get over the sore shoulders from all the water activities.
Agustin, hope you stayed dry with Madeline, and Nestor leaves you alone.
