You can make your own metal discs from a soda can or even better from a sheet of brass, about .15mm thick. Brass gives you more runs, compared to Aluminium, before you have to replace the disc with a new one.

The RJL heads are much better though, then there are none of those silly disc to worry about...

For diesel fuel you can use Tygon or neoprene tubing, both are easily available on ebay for instance.

it is running again
it needs a little more fuel then bevevore so the little tear is notisable

i am gonna look for a load and test it with a load

just running it gives me 16-28V
and that is a rpm regulated voltage

pritty nice actualy

but for its good enough

That turned out really nice! Sounds like its running well too. What do you get out of it? 25vdc? Have you tried putting a load on it yet? I wonder what the max output is (watts). Great Job Thumbs Up

Sweet project! That looks really nice. I've heard others mention this, I started something similar but am not sure what accessory I want it to run just yet, but I'd like to try it with a small belt and pulley system. Trying to keep everything billet aluminum.

i would suggest not to use belts or pulies

thay make the project only more dificult

The elect motor acts like a flywheel too, you are all set now measure voltage and amps and feed the generator to a source such as a 12v light. Show them what your (generator) can do wtg!! Clapping You may find you need more rpm to get the voltage up more flywheel weight will just wear out the .049 faster. Also don't forget to oil the front bushing from time to time on the elect motor.

i am planning on building a variable dummy load
so that i can load it down till it shutsoff Eyebrows

and then i know the max amperage on the generator itself (it putsout around 18-30V)
and after that with a buck converter so that i get a constant 12V

if my buck converter isnt powerfull enough i will be amazed (its 5A max)

i will drive everything to there limet

btw i just rebuild the engine
i replaced the backplate so that i can mound a chock tube
this makes starting more easy
and i can add a carb if i need to

i still have no readings from the generator

but i do know
i hate the diecast sure start backplates
they do not work as good as the original does on my generator
and also the aluminium disks wont work
and starting was harder
so i remounted the original
sad that the dirt cover was damaged (and lost)

and now it runs again
