Might search here although I didn't find anything http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/index.jsp. I think trademarks go dead after non-use. Maybe Cox never trademarked it.

I don't think you would get in trouble. Last I remember, I believe Nylint had "Thimble Drome" last. They used it for those reproduction Champion tether cars.

You should be okay with the Thimble Drome stuff.
We were going to get decals of that made a while back, but I have yet to find time to properly draw the artwork. Too many other projects with priority.

I wondered when I searched for trademarks what Nylint was http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4009:69r6a5.2.1 - say's trademark dead, not sure exactly what that means.
I believe if you are doing something for inconsequential or personal use there's unlikely a problem.
