COX Skycopter Fuel tank REPLACEMENT

This is my first post here. So nice to find a forum where the members enjoy Cox free flight helicopters. I am 67 years old and I owned several Skycopters in the 1970's when they came out. I recently bought a couple of Skycopters on Ebay. I NEED a Fuel tank! I bid on a package of 5 the other day but I did not win that auction. The 5 fuel tanks sold for over $155! I read on this forum that a Gentleman named Jason from Neenah, WI. could 3D print replacement fuel tanks. I am hoping to reach him and ask if he would make a few fuel tanks for me. I bought about 4 Skycopters on Ebay and I need extra fuel tanks for my renewed hobby. I am hoping that Jason will see this post and respond. I am willing to pay a good price for a fuel tank. As anyone with a Skycopter knows, the original fuel tanks are impossible to find anywhere. Thanks juice410 (Ron) in Beautiful Batavia, IL. Anyone else out there able to make a Skycopter fuel tank?

Jason is very accommodating, but he is also a very busy man. Sometime back he made me a fuel tank for my Cox Pinto Funny car that is a perfect replacement. The SkyCopters tank is very similar. You might PM him and ask.

Well Hey There..WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!
SkyCopters are just one of our/my favorite Cox flying toys. There is a guy on E-bay that offers them for sale, I don't think that's Jason. Yup, those tank nipples are the "achilles heel" of the SkyCopter, as they are very brittle from age. I've had a number of them break just looking at them!! Melted a couple in Hot anti-Freeze,too. RSV1cox (B0b) has posted some success in re-inserting a brass tube in place of the broken nipple. Search " Sky Copter" and see what turns up.

I almost bid on this one at $11.00, but the Shipping cost took the Joy out of bidding:

Thanks for the replies. I did bid on that Skycopter on Ebay for $11.00. I won that auction at $17.00. I also tried to make an offer for the 3D printed fuel tank on Ebay, I offered $9.00 and he counter offered $13.00. I then offered $11.00 and the guy Blocked me! Now I can't even contact him or even Buy a fuel tank from him at the $15 full price he wants for one. I guess he got mad after I didn't accept his $13.00 offer. His auction said "or best offer" I was just trying to buy a fuel tank from him for the lowest price I could get. Blocking me was Not Cool. I am still hoping to find more fuel tanks for my Skycopters.
