1 PeeWee .20 sold
2 Exh Throttle Medallion .15s in damaged (cracks) crystal cases
1 of these engines has a fatal flaw

Each is for sale at Santa Phred seasonal pricing
Each spoken for by a CEF member will be shipped with a very cool select engine or other bauble from my dwindling
"junk Barrel"
Between NOW and 10 AM Friday 17 Dec 2001 any member may ask for any engine at my special holiday price Date and Time of PM or post in thread will determine first right of refusal
As I cant mail until Monday 20th
this game/sale is extended until I head into the house Dec 19th Sunday night 8PM central time
However I stated ONE of these engines has a fatal flaw
Any member that can guess which engine and exactly the fatal flaw …if true guess.. may select any other un spoken for engine at Half my special holiday price
Each Medallion is offered for $85 good one sold missing piston is best offer as parts engine
The TeeDee .10 is offered for $100
The PeeWee .20 and extra glow head is offered for $60
I promise not to sale the fatal flaw engine to any member with out full disclosure and significantly reduced cost

cox .010
Fred...i'm addicted I want the .010 . I suspect one of the medallions has an unfinished crankshaft with no window opening. My best guess.

Jim has first right of refusal on the TeeDee.10 but no joy on half price, wrong guess. Feel free to keep guessing

Just for kicks and giggles, my guess is that the PeeWee 020 cylinder does not have internal porting.
How many guesses are allowed??

Me a hole in the tank that's not what would prevent me from using it Strange this crankcase on the .15 it looks like the cover does not close or just improperly closed? Another .15 in my collection would be good Good or bad I dont have a medallion engine at all I never manage to find one for cheap I am broke Especially after buying new tools like a lathe the kind of tool that needs a lot more Accessory of all kinds To work with

Re: Santa Phred deal of 2021
I'm thinking: "If defect can be seen from outside of engine, then Fred do not buy it, so I can guess that flaw is in inside of engine. But which one? .010 TD can not be, because it is in it's box with a tie. Fred didn't examine it. Prices don't give any clue. Perhaps Pee Wee has a factory defect, but what? .15 Medallion in opened box at the middle may be, because Fred wanted to point the defective engine. So I'll guess it"
Fred, that .15 Medallion at the middle has a broken needle valve assembly.

No correct guesses, TeeDee .10 is spoken for
both 15s cracked jewel cases were opened so I could see if they had instructions and tools. One has instruction and 2 cox 15 wrenches, the other, 1 wrench and cox stickers
The peewee bubble is stapled down two places so I did not open it
The TeeDee .10 has wrenches, prop, instructions
the engine with defect from factory is 100% correctable
I did not first hand see the fatal flaw.
The original owner fully disclosed the flaw and I deliberately bought it pre thinking some guessing contest.
How Cox or Estes managed to sell with this flaw is a head scratcher
each successful purchase will include something from my stash of Cox items none will be less than $40 value
1 guess per post, guess as many times as you want but remember CEF is gentlemanly site. Flooding with guesses places me in the position to slog through and answer in a timely manner

Re: Santa Phred deal of 2021
i'd like to buy the 20 if available
the fatal flaw is obvious.
none are mounted on a plane in my shop, getting ready to fly?
OR -
the TD20 comes with spare glow plug because original glo plug has no element.

I am interested in one of the Medallions. That is, if you’re OK with shipping it to Finland (at my cost of course). My guess for the fatally flawed is the TeeDee .010, having the ball joint pressed in too tight.

KariFS has first right of refusal on one of the Cox .15 medallions
PM me your physical address so I can work up what shipping looks like
My software requires me to add a country specific Harmonization code I have to look up on our state department export web site but should be no problem
You guess is wrong You may continue to guess ad see if the engine is yours for half price

The flaw has got to be in the .010. I guess no element in the head.

Wrong guess
PeeWee 20 is sold at may asking price so off the block and it did not have the dreaded confounding fatal flaw thus one of the remaining engines has it.

Re: Santa Phred deal of 2021
100% Correctable A part missing maybe? Only internal part that could be missing without it readily showing to the outside would be the piston. I can see the piston on the Tee Dee, so it must be a Medallion missing the piston. The one in the middle, can I see inside the cylinder? The shade of metal looks a bit dark for a piston
Sounds crazy, but also quite fatal.

So we have a good to go TeeDee 10 for sale and a good Medallion worth a lot in new parts
$100 for a new TeeDee .10 is a great deal IMO
Will take offers on the Medallion .15 parts engine

Re: Santa Phred deal of 2021
Because the gentleman selling it to me told me he bought it in a hobby shop some years ago. It was sitting in his spare engine cabinet until this year, deciding recentlyto sell off all his never going to be used engines.
When he dropped in and nearly destroyed the crystal case it was open so he turned the shaft to see if it was locked up.....it spun freely with NO compression so he unscrewed the back plate and wa la no piston assy
