It will be air cooled and water cooled Both the engine is fitted with a small fan on the clutch bell I wanna use the good old copper coil thing But a little more elaborate I want to keep the top Seal off wit just a very small amount of air as much as possible for the engine the exhaust at the back Like a real one I have to build some kind of cover around the fan to redirect the air to the right place The électroniques component place in sealed container i have To buy smal sealed servo

I still have work to do. Installation of the carburetor back plate prototype I have a good feeling it should work out well This modification allows to have two different jets seting for low rpm jet and hi jet This prototype allows me to use two different types of nitro fuel if I want wit two smal fuel tank Example use on the high jet more oil in the fuel the low speed jet less oil less nitro Allowing the engine to easily start a more precise control for a Good low rpm without flod the engine wit oil The low jet is inside carb barrels its the normal setup for for carb hi jet is the one from the stunt bee tank backplate The air flow decreased in this jet passed through the interior of the tank Works When the carburetor is open

Nice work David, this is turning out fantastic. Like the cooling coil solution very practical. Interested in what you come up with.

When it will be functional I will make a little video or two To show how it works

i made good progress today Small modification on the prototype carburetor manufacturing and installation of the rear engine support Alignment is good Soon the installation of radio controls The throttle control cable was a bit difficult To instal To find it a correct angle so as not to have its gas stuck to the bottom I have to install the tubes for the water for the cooling Drill the boat hull for the exhaust Much remains to be done At least I didn't have to build the hull He should keep his factory-made appearance I can't wait to see the result I want to hear it on the water

This engine is completely new and never used it is the engine of a snowmobile. That I modified to use it with an exhaust system plus addition of the hidden carburetor prototype Let's say the whole creative process had a long journey Surely without appearing to be one of the most technologically advanced engines That I was able to build

I didn't think about it  1\2A I have already built a hydroplane like this But electric I had difficulty turning very unresponsive turn Of course, this one shouldn't go very quickly But should be very good in rough water I don't know too well we could have a surprise its m'y first cox powered boat I use a propeller of almost 1 "1 \ 2 and its pitch look hi Not sur This is why I use a transmission system with clutch the goal of being able to slow down and be able to stop without the engine shutting down.The boat's hull is light enough for plastic The dry weight Was less than 400 grams without the tubes to cool 347grams if I remember correctly This boat had a small 180 brush motor or something smaller that was very weak unable to lift it out of the water. The screw did not turn very quickly Brief what you can expect from a walmart toy at  just 25$ a savings on materials to build the hull of the boat Before the gearing was slow the engine had to turn several turns for a revolution of the propeller (screw) now its 1 1\2 engine turn for a revolution of the screw

I finally found the problem was a valve stuck open after the first start I did not position the valve clip well I also believe the gas jets was too open I removed the engine fix the valve problem all replace then all works well now rsv1cox delete the exaust pipe Will not be necessary because the engine keeps good performance wit it i did try Then I withdraw it a gain of some turn But not enough to make it worth it Without the tube, the oil splashes Inside the boat He's finished ready to go on the water I hope I'll have time today it's hot A perfect time for the beach

1\2A Nut I wonder how well the water Cooper coill Cool the engine Mine stationary the water seems to have difficulty circulating properly it should work when it is moving forward At least the big heat sink helps Your little boat is very cool Surely much faster

I really like this David! Ive always been thinking of wanting to build an RC boat, maybe I will one day! :-) I like the idea of using a cox 049 ducted fan to make a model a bit like the water speed record boats. I remember Ken Warby and the Spirit of Australia setting the record way back when..........
