US is metric (!)
So US is actually metric, I had no idea!

This can’t be true!
Although I will admit our measurements may still be SAE, or Lbs and Oz. A gallon of petrol is still a gallon, but food stuff has been slowly shrinking. A quart of ice cream is
(depending on where you shop) isn’t 32oz or 1/2gallon isn’t 64 oz the last “container “ of ice cream I bought was only 56oz. This shrinkage is rampant in the food industry, the local news did a fluff piece of investigative reporting and it has affected everything from candy bars to breakfast cereal. Same size box, just less content inside, with smaller numbers on the box indicating the net weight. I guess the diet people have taken over the portion sizes!

I just saw an article that said we should expect more "shrinkflation" as inflation take it's toll.
