"Road Trip Weekend"

"Road Trip Weekend"
So, me and the HHR busted a 400+ mile weekend. I wanted take advantage of the little hatchback's 30 mile-per-gallon fuel usage on this road trip, so packed light with just the Butterfly, Mavic, and a Shoestring control liner (that stayed parked the whole trip).
Made the SEMO Flyers' Fun-Fly "Pre-Party" on Friday, the Parryville Airport Fly-In & back to Sikeston and the SEMO Flyers's on Saturday, then drove through some pretty heavy rains (mumbling to myself about being so goofy) to arrive with beautiful sunshine at the Sky Squires' Field for their Fun-Fly on Sunday.
Also think I got my first legitimate sunburn/windburn of 2021...wear sunscreen dummy!!!!!
Except for the Perryville Fly-In, the Butterfly (which didn't get into any more fights with trees) and Mavic got some serious flying time at all the events, and here is a smattering of photos and video captures of the bunch of fun:

Looks to have been a very worthwhile trip! Loved the video of the Nerf machine gun shooting thru the prop on the large model. Great fun!

Wow, what a collection. I'm all in on every one. Thanks for sharing.
I have been an admirer of the HHR for some time. So many cars, so little time.
