Re: sub piston induction. what does it do?
Oke,wil check regulary.I see its still under construction a bit. But its nice. I have also some cox planes (5). I buy a second stuka for needed parts. Its for moore than 90 % compleet. 2 cocpit parts , big bomb and 1 smal propeller is missing.Engine perfect. So If somebody have interrest...let me know. It think about 70 euro for it..I can make ofcourse some picks if needed.
I still want fly the stuka and my Corsair in the summer on a grass field,so in case of bad landing wil be no demage.By the way,I look also for a navy Corsair replacement wing.I fall down when cleaning, and the wing just broke! Can imagine? I dont believe it.Its so flexibel, but it happend. Its glued together now but a better new one wil be nice.
Bedankt!
Have a good time folks!

Re: sub piston induction. what does it do?
I love the Stuka, it was my first plane. In about 1966(according to my Mom)I had bought a Mustang and it refused to start. So the next day my Dad exchanged it for a Beautiful black Junker Ju87D Stuka. Did I mention I had never even seen a control line plane fly? My Dad and his expert Epoxy glue skills kept us trying for about 5 weekends. But it never flew more that 1/4 lap on any given Saturday. I graduated to a PT-19 and had much better success. Later I got another Stuka and had fun flying it. I remember during recess at elementary school, walking around picking up a piece of one of my airplanes here and there.

Re: sub piston induction. what does it do?
Thats a good story,ha,ha...Yes but indeed they say,the stuka is nerveus on elevator movements. I fly now the Sig Acromaster with a Marz 2,5 diesel to training a bit.The plane crashed so many times, but over and over again its glued and reinforced. Its fine now,wel trimed, but a bit heavy.Just last freiday I make the first heats of this year! The Marz diesel starts with the second flick!! Like he cant wait to get in the air!
But I wish to get the stuka in the air.Nice plane, but a lot plastic parts,so if he crash on tarmac....a lot too collect But nobody moves,...nobody get hurts, right? and like I say, there exists no crashes....only uncontroled landings!!
Regards Peter

Re: sub piston induction. what does it do?
A hard landing cracks the wings where the wheel struts attach. I finally started flying it over pavement or the red clay infield of a baseball field, so I could land smoothly.

Re: sub piston induction. what does it do?
Here is the link ,if you are already in youtube just contr.copy:
Cox "Stuka" RTF Control Line Model Airplane
Its the user "Wintersportler". He is in the US, I think....Very nice video!!
I must try my COX "black night" this summer for sure,..after I saw this,
I also saw a lot plans on ebay for building a bigger one from balsa for 2,5-3,5 cc.If you like, and have the skills and time for it,..I can send you the building plan as a pdf file. It looks like a nice project, not very hard to build.
Its builded a lot times as contr liner and also as RC too. Interresting plane, shame of the bad history, for what he was "ab-used"..
Regrads Peter
