If my "this is what a muffler looks like" post sounded rude, sorry. I reread it and for some reason it did sound a little rude, just wanted to be sure if you wanted a "muffler" or the exact thing pictured.

Were you looking for a fuel tank for an action van. Would one of these work?

Well with your new little valentine I am sure it is possible.
Re: Wanted - Muffler for .049
I know this post is 6 years old, but saw that no one corrected a misconception. A metal wedge tank can be used for free flight and simple RC (i.e., no extended inverted flight) by moving the wedge to point downward. Then the overfill tubes go side to side. Fuel draw will then be adequate to empty out the tank. This was commonly done when one went to the hobby store and could not find the suitable rectangular metal tank.nitroairplane wrote:Yeah someone use a 6 oz wedge tank on a 1/2a FF plane and see what happens.Ivanhoe wrote:All those "Free flight" tanks are for control line!! Back in the late 1970s, I did this with my Ace R/C 20" (510mm) wingspan Littlest Stick. Wanted a longer run than with the Pee Wee tank, so I drilled a hole through the tank and ran a fuel line from the spray bar nipple to a 1/3rd ounce Perfect wedge tank with wedge pointed down. In the photo, the tank's brass pick up tube exits firewall just below the Pee Wee with fuel line connected. Tube on the right with epoxy surrounding is the vent, other side sticks out beyond fuselage is the filler.
