Cox Dragonfly
New to your forum but I have had an interest in model aviation since the 60's . Started with a Cox PT19 , then a Lil-jumpinbean, and several Little Satan's. I haven't flown much for about 20 years but bought an Ace Wizard short kit to get back going. Back in the 90's I bought a Cox engine for a project I never got going and it has been in a box all this time. I thought it was a Black Widow but it is a Dragonfly. Perfect for the Wizard.
I need to buy some props and servos. Can you guys make some recommendations.
I have been reading posts on this forum for about a week and there is a wealth of information. For the last 20 years I have been buying glow engines when I got a deal on them and I have number of 15's , 07's, and .061's of various brands. I think I am going to order a Symaster from Cox Int. this week just for kicks!
I live in Memphis and I am going to try to make the Small Fly in this summer if they have it.

Hey GlowFuelGuy,
WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!
I'm not a flier, more of an engine freak. You might consider changing
the forum topic to "Ace Wizard". I'm sure will be on the way.
I have a half doz. Dragonfly's and parts. Here to help.

Re: Cox Dragonfly
WELCOME TO THE C.E.F. !!!
There will be TWO S.M.A.L.L. Fly-Ins this year! Both at Sky Tiger Field near Mayflower, AR:
June 3rd--6th
October 14th--17th
Like many events, the last day (Sunday) can be pretty sparse as everyone hits out for home, but there are usually some "hanger-on'rs" squeezing in some final flights.
Hope you get to come!
Kim
P.S. 5x3 and 6x3 props can be had from Matt at: http://www.exmodelengines.com/ , and Bernie at: https://coxengines.ca/

Welcome to the Forum !! There are plenty of places to get parts but i would go with one of these two for price and availability https://www.horizonhobby.com/radios/aircraft/servos/?gclid=CjwKCAjwy42FBhB2EiwAJY0yQsao94JxnJO5ybWPdR_9UY723QlIy_oirVQa0s0UrUe2LV5U1IjgfxoCXgQQAvD_BwE and https://hobbyking.com/en_us/?gclid=CjwKCAjwy42FBhB2EiwAJY0yQrAMG3dyLT4Yt1yb-Ql1EXJotWXRbV5l_d68A__XtfWgPgqIQiqu-BoCVRgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Re: Cox Dragonfly
Hi Glowfuelguy! WELCOME to the forum! Check-out any of the nano-servos on the market. Read their reviews if possible. The nano-servos will be fine for a 1/2A RC model such as the Ace Wizard. Look into a LiFe (lithium iron) receiver battery too.. and you'll be several ounces under what the lightest-weight Wizard was 20 years ago.. allowing for more tasty finish/trim options! Good Luck!!
Re: Cox Dragonfly
Thanks everybody I have updated my profile as requested. I have not rejoined the AMA yet but will shortly and add my number when appropriate.
