The Dye that Didn't take
Ya know there has been discussion about the Black SBJ and i wanted to see if i could make one (( for my Prop Rod )) , so i got one i have ran before and put it in the cleaner full strength Simply Green to get it good and clean!! And it did with the help of the sonic cleaner and some 120 F heat 10 mins. in the vate and well see for yourself ..
Then into the Blk dyen full strength at 140f 10 mins.
OK now for the results looks good so far .
After rinsing with water ..
O well lets clean it again !! I know the reed retainer came apart was stuck in there when i took it apart ??!?!? Need better dye for plastic only comes in Charcoal Gray !!

I do not know what the instructions say, but what if you removed it and just let it sit and air dry?

Re: The Dye that Didn't take
Might need more heat to open up the pores in the nylon for it to take the dye. Either that or $300 and I’ll sell you mine.

Re: The Dye that Didn't take
My experience with dying nylon, is that the dye bath needs to be boiling, and the nylon needs to be un-pigmented.
