It's all pretty mixed up, boggles the mind and a big model making club.

The more I get into this stuff the more interesting it gets.  Tim Dannels also has a lot of history in the industry.

Just got this one in.  Unique with a blue anodized head indicating .060 power and a different flywheel.

That flywheel is definitely a home grown replacement. At some point, I'm going to machine a replacement for my Sea Fury twin. Years ago when I ran it for it's one and only time, I cobbled up a recoil starter that used elastic bands to rewind the spindle. And cut angled notches into the flywheel to give it positive engagement.
Biggest question is what taper was used on the end of the crankshaft. Some day I'll figure it out unless someone here knows what it is.

Huh... Huh... So far; any info. is as common as "hen's teeth"..

I would agree Jim, except I have seen others equipped the same way.  I thought maybe the same engine as pictured in the "ebay" picture above, but the glow plug is different but has the same blue anodized .060 head.  Maybe a different flywheel for the .060 vice the .049?

But, that nut on top of the flywheel does look suspicious.

 I'm still researching.

Edit add:

Replaced the stud with a standard 5/40, seems fine.  Made a couple more stands.  Thinking ahead if that twin ever shows up.

Begs the question...Why would anyone replace a flywheel, they just do not wear-out.  Lost prehaps.

It looks like a Herkimer OK Cub flywheel.
