CONTEST - CONTEST - CONTEST
Deleted
Sorry, Dumb me posted a picture with the weight. Too bad it was a good one too. I will dream up another with the same prizes.......................... Only on for a minute, checked and some were on line so I deleted the contest.
Picture was supposed to go to Jacob........
Just so ya know.................
Proposed prizes:
Took me an hour to put it together and a minute to screw it up.
Ok, Got one. New contest
Guess the weight of the model pictured, no clues other than hollow log and Cox .049 Babe Bee.
Rules changes, lowered entry post to 25, Rene gets to play, and mathematical tie
Rules:
Weight to be expressed in ounces to the second decimal place, example - 72.45oz
Entrants must have a minimum of 25 posts on the Cox Engine forum and be in good standing.
Guesses must be posted here on this thread and on no other. No PM's!
Contest ends at midnight Sunday 24 October.
Overseas members are eligible.
One guess per member. There should be no duplicates but if there are, the first guess is valid.
If no one guesses the exact weight the closest to it (over or under) wins.
If there is a mathematical tie first response wins
Winner receives the prizes shown above - a Cox Graffitti Bee, a years subscription to Air Classics and a Norvel .049
Wow, how to screw up on a grand scale.....................
The older than I was yesterday.
Robert
Edit: To your guess add a yes or a no to the question - Will the Big Brother .049 lift off the ground? yes or no? Has no bearing on the contest, I'm just curious as to what everbody thinks.

Hi sir, Don’t feel too bad about the photo mishap…. I guessed this contest may be coming up and already had a number….. About 10 oz off lol…
Regardless, These have been fun and entertaining….. Thanks…
I think BB will lift off… At least a little at about 13 oz per G-Bee….How long is the tether and what height for the pylon?
I think the hollow log weighs 7.00 oz
Robert

Fledgling
My gestimate would be 9.75 ounces as is, and yes I think it will fly but need a little weight in the tail.

Re: Contest - Contest - Contest Version 2.0 Big Brother
My guess is 9.8 ounces and I reckon BB will definitely lift off. My third favorite plane of all time managed to lift off being the Spruce Goose. Lol. First comes the SR 71, then the DR-1, then the spruce goose, then BB!

Re: Contest - Contest - Contest Version 2.0 Big Brother
7.55 oz
You effectively put a .15 on the nose of BB so yeah I think it will get off the ground.

Am I too late?
7.22 oz. I've got no idea, but I'm pretty sure it won't fly.

Re: Contest - Contest - Contest Version 2.0 Big Brother
We have a winner and his alias matches the prizes. Much closer guesses this time with some coming very close. A few under, most over.
Congratulations 1/2A nut - Brad in Texas.
I'm surprised that some of the old hands here did not chose to participate. Perhaps to give others a better chance, perhaps because they already have a Graffiti Bee. But Bernie's Bees do not exactly grow on trees and you can always run one and save one. What I was going to do. In fact, I looked at this one and thought - run it or give it away. Give it away got the nod.
PM me your address Brad and the engines and a year's subscription to Air Classics will be on their way.
Bob

Congrats Brad.
If I may ask, what was the final weight of said plane? For some reason my phone is acting up and cannot see the pictures? Also having issues on another forum. Ain't technology great!

Little F-100 Musciano hollow log was 5.98 oz.. Brad's guess was 6.80 oz.. Lieven and Rene were close.
