No you are good he is just behind on another job we are in a holding pattern he has
done up a run of backplates but needs time to set up the link, package and prep them
all for shipping. When it happens they will be ready to ship upon ordering. I will check
with him again. He is watching this thread too.

The DAL 3 blade Cyclone props came in these look and fit like a winner.
The draw is the pitch for me 3x5.6 prop will produce some eye popping speed.
Since it is a 3 inch dia the engine should be able to handle the pitch. I have
already bench tested up to 4" pitch props with the TD .020 with excellent results
this prop should be the next step forward with potential for 150 mph flying.
The new age material is tough, I have 8 of these props 4 counter for clockwise
so could use the other four with a Pee Wee engine to make the little wizzer a
real rocket.
TD .020 3x5.6
26,400 unloaded hits 140 mph
28.3k unloaded for 150 mph beast!
To date I have gone 36k with a 3.5x3.5 105mph lack of pitch is the problem.
Screams great with superior fuel draw but no need to scream if the speed is not there.
I am not much for 3 blade props prefer this to be a 3.6x5.6 2 blade will have to take
what I can get.
While back I bought some thick mil zip lock bags the type that will last unlike the thin ones that tend
to deteriorate and open up. Also leave a label in the bag to remind me of what to buy if I need more.

Vid of the NANO III with that new APC drone prop I think it's a winner.
Good thrust at the expense of a bit of top end speed still hit 132 mph
prop speed down wind with great vertical climb out. I look forward to
modifying another one for 30k rpm.
With the wind down I was able to input more throw as I flew to relize
I had too much throw after finally getting a second flight. I reduced throws
on my 3rd test flight and it really did very well with passes right in my face
tracks great unfortunately the second vid today stop recording in just the first
3 passes so never got to save the best part of the flight. Lands with no fuss
what so ever with 86.5 sq. in. at 9oz .

Thank you Eric, happy to finally share a vid makes for icing on the cake
The new APC drone prop worked out well low weight and thin.
I plan to mod another one for all out speed next a 4.3x5N with
the tips swept.
I knew the TD .050 could get better numbers after flying the
Lil Speedy with the TD .049 that plane just didn't have enough
wing span 66 sq. in for comfortable landings.

I am using 9g servos for the elevator and ailerons and the smaller servo for the throttle.
Plane only weighs 9oz but with fuel 10oz so reasonable load when going very fast but only
if you max out the throws I dialed in very little throw in the end to keep the plane easy to
fly smooth. With the small amount of throw the servo never gets near it's maximum torque.
I use 25% throw on the ailerons and 28% on the elevator with my DX6i Spektrum radio.
Stall Torque at (6V): 23oz /in
Operating voltage: 3.0V~7.2V
I use 6.6v 200mah LiFe battery

You will loose a lot of accuracy that way. It is much better to change the mechanical leverage so that you can use nearly the full movement of the servos.

TD .010 NANO II only has 3mm up elevator at the trailing edge:
Nano III has 5mm.
Ailerons:
Nano III is 4mm
Nano II has about 2mm
You should make a micro speedy so you can relate. But yes agreed good trick for
analog servos that don't center well, and when possible.

I'm not talking about the actual movement of the control surface. If you need input there I can check some of my faster planes. I usually measure the angle of deflection, as it is independent on size, rather than a deflection distance (which is highly dependant on the size of the plane).
The goal is to use the full movement of the servo, rather than limiting the the movement of the servo in the radio. A limited movement in the radio has all sorts of issues, lower resolution, more sensitive to errors in the re-centering of the servo, more influence from connection slop, a higher force (torque) needed from the servo motor etc. etc.

Your servo setup goal not mine, my goal was to design, build,
fly a 1/2A speed plane and post a vid which I have done.
I have taken the time to explain how I set up my servos
and horn size selections on previous design / builds. I just
posted a successful flying vid / photos. This one makes the 9th
plane design in 5 yrs for me, I would like to step it up but was
distracted with 3 outrigger hydro designs and one mono hull during
this time too. I want to do up a sport acro plane at some point soon.

If you wish build a micro plan with minimum space, post some pics, and vids share your
efforts with us rather than nit picking. For the last 5 yrs. you have not posted a single
project build why is that? If you have a link to a productive plane project please feel free
to post it here. I would enjoy seeing some new modern 1/2A projects from you.

Josh,, Kris if you got secrets then Please share , Ya 'll been at it a while , I 1/2a know what you two are talking about but thats beside the who is who is who .. Step up to the plate ! All i have seen is Brad doing his thing and doing it well !! so i just learn from what works for the person getting R done and showing that (what ) can bee achieved with these very small engines

That thing moves on the drone prop. I would never be able to fly that thing as it’s way too fast for me. Nice video.

the first portion of the vid that I cut out was me flying at 65% throttle
to trim out the plane. Due to the aggressive pitch at the hub "typical of APC E
props" induced more prop torque than the first flight with another brand prop.
See pic the smaller 4x5 prop is sized for all out speed.
