Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Ah cripes. I forgot to enclose return postage. It will arrive before you need to mail them back.
I sent that old Black Widow that I made the video about in 2012, using the Paul Gibeault method of souping one up. It has been hanging unused on a plane since then. It was a little stiff, but it cranked and ran after the reed finally got unglued.
I had some kind of Tornado prop on it for show and it only turned 18k on its 2 runs today. But I've seen this one turn 21 on the bench with the right prop. Maybe it will wake up for Kim and the Super Power fuel. The head refused to come off so I could count the washers but back then I was meticulous figuring how many it likes, so I have a chance. I need redemption after the Reed Speed race.

Forget Black Sabbath. Get Roddie's band. Heck, get mine, but that might take a bit more effort & expense. Oh well!
Hey, there's enough musos on this forum, George on Sax, Roger on keyboard, I'll play bass if someone will fly me over.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Hi Kim, I realized two of my engines can go in either Mouse or Unlimited so could you run the black tank Bee in Mouse please?
I had a lot of trouble tuning the Mouse and ran out of fuel trying to get it to run well, hope it isn't a PITA.

I also didn't specify the class mine should run in. It's just a stock 1995 Black Widow except for the head, so whatever category that fits in is fine. I'm sure it has a #1 cylinder on it.

Hey Rusty,
It could go in Unlimited or Mouse...up to you.
I'm gonna couple draw up a new table, showing who is where, and you could choose then.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Nice lineup! Now I only hope mine isn't gonna be too much of a pain lol I wasn't able to finish the testing due to weather and running out of fuel and didn't have time to order more so I just popped an extra shim in it, crossed my fingers and sent it. If it gets stubborn hit it with the starter, it has a thrust washer. Anyway "Pulls up a chair sits and leans back" Lets burn some nitro!!!!Kim wrote:And so, our photo session today:

Right there with ya Bob. The dates really snuck up on me but USPS was able to throw my package up there in only 2 days.
Kim, are there any other engines in transit or do you have the complete lineup?
Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Checked on mine its still in transit took three days to get out of Greensboro 1-3 days pony mail

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
I'm still waking up, but I THINK getback Eric's engines are still out there somewhere. I'll do a recount here once I'm fully conscious. Other than that, looks like everyone is here.
There wasn't too much Tach Race chatter over on the .049 Collectors Group on this round, so I don't know if I got some sneakers on the way in or not....gonna go over there in a moment. Something is going on between Mark's Group and my computer, as there is a white 'card' blocking the center of the page, that follows me when I try to page down to the conversations and topics. I still managed to dodge around it by going back to my Email page and posting there, but it's harder to search the posts from there.
Also, Wayne, I may have been wrong in labeling your cool-modded Unlimited Engine as a "Space Hopper". I can re-do the title real easy if it's wrong, AND will also check the notes that came with it...sometimes I miss them.
Same for you other guys...please let me know of any typos and errors in the album...I don't want your babies going down in history with the wrong names!

Oh...we must have been typing at the same instant. I'll make a mail run later in the morning. Do remember if you sent it to my Post Office box or out here on the hill?

Also, this late note:
Mitch and Patty Mitchel, owners of Tailwinds R/C Hobby Center, LLC in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, will be sponsoring Tach Race !!
This late notice is entirely my fault for not catching Mitch earlier and telling him about the race.
Many thanks to these two great people (having NOTHING to do with the fact that they are my employers!) for adding an additional boot to the race!
