I'm not sure why, but this happened on the last 3 packages I had sent to me through USPS. They landed near me, went up through and past my state, and then came back down to be safely delivered. Maybe USPS is changing their route infrastructure.
Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
My engine has been shipped should be there in a couple of days.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Bouncing Ball syndrome as i call it. This is exactly the reason why I no longer use USPS they have lost several packages of mine in the last year including Novarossi car engine that I sent off to be reworked so I said no more. I shipped my engine UPS it's more expensive but I trust them more. (Bandit)crankbndr wrote:cryo-one wrote:Kim, I sent my entries last Friday via USPS Priority. Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Well my two engines are out there somewhere. No tracking was available on the parcel without a major shipping upgrade. Only hope they find their way to Skunkworks Missouri in the next week. No-one's fault but mine for not getting in earlier, although I didn't think I had any hope of getting ready in the first place.
They should have left our shores over a week ago.
Rod.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Time to showcase Paul's generous donation of fuel for the Tach Race. Please forgive the window frame shadow, I'll get another, better angle for posterity and presentation in the Tach Race Wrap Up.
I also included a photo of their labels, just so everyone knows what I'll be running through their engines.
Dave, if you've got any ideas for photos of the fuel, please let my know. I'll be including it in one version of the "Class Photo" following the Race.
Still doing a bit of Tach Race prep work...as in making a new test table. Owing to several voiced concerns for my safety (thank you, it IS appreciated) I've added a custom safety shield. Like any card-carrying airplane nerd, I have an accumulation of full-size airplane debris, in this case, a windshield from a Cherokee Warrior. Not wanting to bother with masking off his new windshield after installation, my bud simply sprayed the paint with the old one while it was in place.
Not the most aesthetically appealing creation, but certainly serviceable.

Lol, a (tach) race track, nicely done buddy!
Went to post office to mail engines, and grabbed the door to open...locked and suddenly remembered...MLK Day! I'll get'em mailed in the am.
Forgot to include any money to ship them back. I'm thinking you're set up for paypal and i can send some funds for return postage. What email do you use?
We/you are using pressure (optional) on Unlimited and Tee Dees? Do we notifiy you if we want pressure or not?
Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
Yes! I've been practicing with my box of fuel bladder supplies and intended say something, but forgot in the midst of the carpentry work. I can do either pressure bladder or suction feed, so please let me know if you've got preferences.

No news of my Aussie Bee arrivals? I'd hoped they'd be there in plenty of time. Don't want to holdup the proceedings.

Re: Tach Race 2015 Final Wrap-Up
I only ran my Space Hopper on suction. I guess it would run a little faster on pressure, but I don't know if the old needle would be too coarse. It would be interesting if you had the time, but that's up to you.Kim wrote:Yes! Cool it arrived safely then. BTW did it have the return label in the box? The reason I'm asking is to make sure they put in in there.
