Chris-Craft EP speeedboat report (con't)

Roddie, oh yes!  I needed that!

The weather is so cold and miserable here in WA that I'm stalled because it's just not warm enough to spary on the semi-gloss Lustrekote clear finish I'm applying.

Now I've got to figure out how to make my wimpy EP sound like the actual boat.

EP's best application is in the water powering a boat.  No I haven't abandoned nitro in fact Dumas doesn't recommend nitro in one of their Chris-Craft boats.

Cleaning up the nitro mess after a run would cancel out too much beer time after.

Still not much to see at this point.

The ABS sub-planking is on awaiting the mahogany which depends on the arrival of warmer weather.  (It's 48 F here now)  (Lustrekote requires 70 F)

The small cockpit parts ready for installation but could use a final coat of semi-gloss Lustrekote clear before installation.

I learned ealy-on NOT to to rush this project.  I used two-part finishing resin which set-up too fast and left a rough surface which had to be sanded off to bare wood for the application of the Lustrekote.  As you can imagine this took a whole bunch of time (and patience) while I lectured myself for my mistake.              

But "All's well that ends well." and that what I'm shooting for with the Chris.

Since 7/8's of the earth's surface is covered by water that why boats were invented.

Electricity is the most efficient means to power them.
