Hope u don't mind...
I just recently registered here at Cox Engine Forum. I have been "chiming in" here and there... (mostly "here" on this page) replying to your topics and posting a few things... and tend to ramble....... This is exciting for me.
My last contact with "model people" was back in 1995; in Norfolk, MA where a "C/L Stunt" fliers- club would meet..."N.E.S.T." (New England Stunt Team) would meet on Sunday's at "Dave Cook's" house. The "hot" stunt engine back then was the Super Tiger 51... (my personal favorite is a "well broken-in" Fox .35...) Meetings were cool... I enjoyed; just "being there"... Dave Midgely, Ron Conners... (hope I remember correctly...) were also members/great flyers. Dave Cook was working at that time; on an "I-Beam" (spar) Stunter" G-51 powered... "I" was the guy with the 1/2-A's... We had a Holiday party Winter 94-95 and as a "Yankee-swap" gift; I brought a "hand-boxed"... "1/2A airplane scratch-build kit" that I'd assembled. There was balsa sized for a flat wing/profile fuse... 1/8"-3/16"... .032" plywood for doublers, .025'/.062" x36" music wire, a "Perfect-Parts" sm. bellcrank, "Du-Bro" sm. control horn, CA hinge mat'l., wheels.... I think I even through in a sm. wedge-tank... it was the "swap" to be had... I believe "Ron Connors" ended up with it.
Life changes... now here I am... back in touch after a long time, with people who enjoy this hobby. It's really refreshing.
Thanks,
Roger

Welcome back Roddie. Once a modeller, always a modeller. I blame other fellow modellers. They're the friendliest, most helpful, bunch of guys to be around.
