Filtering a Medallion .049 carb
I want to put a Medallion .049 on a wing type C/L plane, but don't want it ingesting crud when it comes down in the grass/scrub at the end of the flight. What's the easiest/cheapest/MacGuyverest was to filter the carb?

I would rubber band a small piece of pantyhose material over the intake.

Yep, that's it. Just don't leave the rubber band on it when it's in the hangar or it'll melt.
I use the no-pull hair rubber bands from the dollar store. They're all sorts of cool colors for teenage girls' pony tails. They are about a half inch in diameter, but stretch it before use and then loop it around the venturi as much as necessary.
