I miss the "old days" and Ed Roth was part of it along with a long list of outlaw drag racers
RF sits near when ever I am feebly attempting to finish a car or airplane model

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
The Propeller arrived on Saturday! It will have many fun adventures in the next couple of days. Wichita is a great place to whirl around!
I will review the list, to see who is next to receive the prop, and send it on it's way.
Off and running!

I can't wait to see what you do with it!
At an antique sale I was at last summer, a guy was selling a 2 piece injection mold of Rat Fink. It wasn't cheap.
Travelling Propeller in Wichita...
The Prop had a whirlwind tour of the city, today, and was a great companion. No arguments for any of the activities, or posing for pictures.
First, we went to the Blackbear Bosin designed statue- "Keeper of the Plains", by the Arkansas River, which is still partially frozen; the Prop quickly climbed a small tree and pretended to be held by the big Indian statue. The idea of the picture is funnier than the outcome.
Next, we went to the very first, and original Pizza Hut building, that now rests on the campus of Wichita State University. The Propeller was interested, but since no pizza was being served, quickly bored of the site, but managed to remain composed for a few quick pictures.
As you may discern in the pictures, the weather was pretty nice, so next, I showed the Prop where we fly control line planes. No other flyers were there today, so Prop watched, while I put two flights on one of his big brothers, a 10x5 that pulls my modified Magician. Prop failed to photograph any of that activity, as he was so impressed with my flying. (Oh, sure!)
One or two more quick visits, and the Prop will speed away to the next person on the list. Stay tuned!

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Well, what would a visit to Kansas be, without a stop to see the characters from Oz?
The prop made it's last round of visitations, and is ready to meet with other adventures!
Whomever is next, please message me with your address. (Or am I supposed to keep track of that?) I'll get it going, when I know.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
I came home from work thinking, the most exciting thing left for the day is to go get the taxes done. Then when I came home from getting taxes done, I found I was wrong. This showed up in the mail.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
My oldest son took the picture, he loves photography. I did pick the layout, though. I have a couple ideas about what to do with it, but I did want to let everyone know it's here.
I'd like to know the history of the box and the stuff in it. I have some guesses, the long horn sticker from Fred, the "Who" from Ron, Kim's skunk works, the easy one Euro Link is John. And one that I'm most likely the first to see, the purple paint on the box from Doug.

CEF TP Blue Max sticker in Duke's photo
For a brief time when I was a Army Helicopter Armament Repair specialist. The Blue Max sticker is from a semi secret mission I was sent on in the Mediterranean supporting specially equipped little birds from a barge during the Achilles Laurel indecent and the hostages in Lebanon. That Mission exists today supported by USAREUR with UH-60s and very special little birds. BAB (Beirut Air Bridge) is a state department funded mission to rapidly extract Embassy and other US citizens in the middle east if needed.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Fred
Thanks for letting us know that history. A little hint into the lives of those we chat with all the time. Thanks for your service.
Wish the UH-60's would have been in the air to pick up Stevens in Benghazi.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
I put a Lil Bat sticker from Cap'n Blackhawk in it, and I know Mark Boesen put the Huskers sticker in there. Don't remember if Microflitedude Matt put anything in it. We did Prop Day together. If there is a hand drawing of Ralph The Rat in there(RTR), I did it. Can't recall if I drew him or not. It's my signature cartoon.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
I want to see someone else fly this thing. I can't remember if anyone besides Mat and me flying it on the Li'l Satan. When it's over, We'll compile all the pics in one wrap-up thread.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Yeah, that would be very cool.
Back when I received the prop I wasn't flying yet. If I had it now I would thoroughly abuse it!!!!
I know Duke has the ability.....

Ron
You're right! I have the ability to abuse things, not sure about my flying ability though. I'll find the time to fly it around, my boys and I will put a few laps on it, just for you and Rusty.

If it breaks glue it back together and send it off. Just be sure to warn the next guy!
It can only add character.
