Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Hello all,
I still got the prop. I planned to make pictures last weekend. I asked a friend of mine with his fancy ultra Nikon D535435543545 camera to shoot some pictures and movies. unfortunately he catched a flu and whas sick. We made a new appointment for this saturday.
It is not possible to do this in the evening as it is dark after 17:00. Sorry for holding the prop so long.
Where do I have to send the prop to?
Bastiaan

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
I had a great (and cold) time running the prop yesterday on a Golden Bee and the Pink Panther from Eline. It has been a while since is last ran a cox. (still restorin my old house).
My good friend Jordy made some pictures and movies, which are editted right now. I hope I could show them tommorow. I will pack the prop and send it allong to John. I only have to figure out how to get a tracking code on it. Without is $2,- WIth is $18.

Update:
Here meets the TP the engines for the first time. I really love the insert with all the names and autographs.
I do not have a favorite engine which I could run. (that is my .049 Tee Dee which eline bought herself for me, without any assistance a couple of years ago). So I decided the take the shiny Golden Bee which is one of my first Cox engines.
It was cold outside (about 5 + Celsius), so I had a hard time starting the GB. However after taking it inside the kitchen the engine came to life after a couple of minutes. The golden Bee had a long run time and that gave us some time to take some pictures and movies.
I really love this picture. You see the oil of the engine being blown to the back. (the engine runs here)
After the GB it was time for Eline here Pink Panther. unfortunately Eline couldn't be there because she works at Saturday. It ran beautiful with the TP. But was not giving the RPMS as expected. And I already bragged about the rpms the engine could reach to Jordy! (he has no experience with RC engines)
So I finally had to run the engine with a 5x3 prop from Bernie
And as proof that the propeller went to The Netherlands, here a picture with real Dutch cheese (A common Dutch thing, along with windmills, tulips and wooden shoes.)
I will get the videos later this week. I will send the prop asap to John.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Bravo! The fun resumes. Those are magnificent pictures, and the Golden Bee running is my favorite. Frame it and call it Prop Wash Honey.
Thanks for treating it to some regional delicacies too. It'll come home cultured, but hopefully not too snobbish about it. Good work, Bastiaan. Thanks a lot.
For anyone who's monitor is smaller than the picture, right click and choose view image. (it works on Firefox anyway)
When uploading to servimg.com, choose the resize option of 640 pix for websites, and they will fit better.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
I made the pictures a littles smaller (800px width). Hope they will fit all the screens now. Offcourse i keep the original pictures, if someone ever need them.
John and i are in contact about shipping the prop to him. It could take a week to show up there.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Hello all,
Prop is heading today to john. As the shipping to john for the prop was about $20,- (because of the tracking) we combined it with some items.
It should be there before the end of the year.
Have a nice christmas!
