Hi all, I was looking at the Cox reed valves available and was considering which type was best. The oem Cox copper (beryllium) alloy, stainless steel, mylar, teflon, carbon fiber. Which shape star or oval? Huh... Any opinions or thoughts? Rolling Eyes

I have both mylar and teflon which are retangular with rounded edges though I've yet to try them.

The copper OEM's work very well for me provided they are clean and installed correctly.

I think mylar ovals are nice as are the copper ones.
And recently I started using the steel ones because they came on my SSs and i really like those because my engine seem to run a lot happier and a bit smoother.

I also find that copper creases rather easily.
but what i meant by ovals was actually rectangles with rounded tops.
