Re: "The Original Tach Race 2013"
No kidding, mine gained a lot of RPMs from just swapping from a Killer Bee to a Babe Bee crank. A Babe crank is perfectly safe at 20k. Especially if I'm in SC while it's running in MO.Mark Boesen wrote:...Phil, w/ a std. head you're fine with one gasket and prolly better off with lighter crank! fyi, I use a std. crank, polish the crap out of it and grinder down with the dremel.

it's not the 0 to 20k that usally causes them to break, it's the 20k to 0!

The post office closed early today. I'll drop the package off tomorrow morning, but I doubt it will arrive in time.
Re: "The Original Tach Race 2013"
Express mail should get it there in time. Costly though. Priority is 2-3 day.

Exhaling... breathing slowly... thanks for reminding me Bob. I forgot about that "Don't Panic" thing.
I'm sure if I just call the UPS store in the morning, they can track it from my address and the destination. UPS is as dependable as they get. Especially for $19 bucks. And I have the debit card transaction listed too.

Yeah Ron, I spend lots of time second guessing myself, especially when I don't have to.RknRusty wrote:dckrsn wrote:I'm sure you're good Rusty............."Don't Panic!".RknRusty wrote:I'm tearing the house and my car apart looking for my receipt and tracking number. Re: "The Original Tach Race 2013"
For you guys sending engines tomorrow, unless you express mail them they probably won't make it until Monday. I was going to express mail my package I sent Tuesday, but it was going to cost $29 to do it.
Something to consider.

Re: "The Original Tach Race 2013"
Hey,
While I'm locked and loaded for the Race this weekend, it's not a problem for me to hold off 'till next weekend so some of our guys don't have to gamble a bunch of postage cash on maybe getting their engines to me in time.
Matt intended the Tach Race to be a Winter Diversion, and February certainly qualifies as Winter, so I'm good as long as the members don't mind being away from their babies for an extra week!
Let me know what you all think...

Re: "The Original Tach Race 2013"
As much as the suspense is killing me to wait, I would rather run a full field, so it's okay with me.
Give the slowpokes a 500 RPM penalty! .................Juuuuust kidding.

Well, mine and Bernies should be delivered today, but like Rusty says a full field is better. Whatever is best.

Yeah good point. How many entries are un-accounted for?
