I just searched ebay for magnetic screw holder and variations. Also Wilde USA its only marking.

Might be the handiest tool I have in the house and I'm always chasing it down workshop to workshop. I need about three more.

Under the blue tape (so I can find it in my tool box) is a combo phillips and straight slot screw holder.

Thanks roddie, those have the screw holders only and I need those with the magnet. The one I show has both those screw holders incorporated into one. Works quite well, but I use mostly the magnet, but those screw holders have saved me more than once.

The magnet served its purpose, it held the nut in position so I could screw the bolt into it. Threaded bolt bosses are missing in several locations so I will be using it again and again as there are places that you can't get a finger in to hold the nut on. One of the pleasures of rebuilding an old car.

This is not a "nut and bolt" restoration. Unibody not body on frame. The suspension alone would take me years and dollars.

The Back To The 50s car show is this weekend, I'll be there this Sunday. If I spot anything like that, and they're not charging an arm and a leg, I'll pick up a few.

I see the telescoping magnet tools fairly often. I have one with a little mirror at the opposite end, that comes in handy at times.

The last time I needed to fish a dropped nut out of the engine bay, I electrical-taped a neodymium magnet to a length of all-thread.

It's almost unheard of to have nuts and bolts, applications like such generally use Tinnerman clips.

I have one of those telescoping magnets Jacob and use it often as my nervious fingers are always dropping things. But, it has a magnet the size of a dime so there are places that I can't get it in.

Tinnermans are great, especially the ribbon candy styles. I ought to get an assortment. But Mazda used plastic push in clips in many applications. In fact the fan shroud is held on by two #10's at the top and the clips at the bottom where I thought the threaded bosses were missing.

My garage work bench is a mess.

I wish I could keep my workbench that clean Bob.

The reason I make everyone wait for the Black Lynx drawing is because I need to work myself up to cleaning off the workbench in the garage.

I couldn't take it any more Jacob and cleaned it up.  I'm a neatnick at heart.  Smile I built that workbench the cabinets above it and insulated and panelled the garage. It stays pretty cool in there throughout the day if I open the garage door in the morning and let the cool air in. The builder talked me into an insulated garage door and I'm glad that he did. What a difference.

Mail came today and delivered four Chinese chains for my chain saw.  I used to avoid buying anything made in China but quality chains at half the price of American made chains has won me over.  However I still hold my nose when buying their products.  The red markers for detailing the Firebaby Jr's wing came too.  I have the oil based red pen but want to try both before making up my mind which to use.

The Black Linx offering every month by Matt has my admiration and respect.  He's got to run out of parts for them sometime.

Hi Robert, The "Win This Engine" rules state that a drawing will happen every 6 months; between the previous 6 EOM winners. That would be two engines/year.. but it states that there's also a drawing between all the past years' EOM entrants that didn't win; giving one of them a chance to win an engine. Past EOM members however; are exempt from that drawing.

Thanks roddie. I'm under the impression that Matt gives away an engine a month to the photo contest winner. But, I must admit that I do not follow it.

This one just popped up on my computer.  At $26+ they are mighty proud of it.  roddies links were half that.

Edit add

Ha, computers.......search something and you get same or similar things popping up on your screen.  Two screw starters with magnets like mine for roddies price.  Bought them both.  No more travelling between shops.

One of my most useful tools. Thanks to all.
