Good morning all members and hobbyists, this is Bill Steklenski reaching out from Pennsylvania USA. I'd like to thank everyone again for sharing their information and latest news. I just started collecting again in the beginning of the summer and have acquired some very nice models and engines. I have my eyes set on a nice small collection and we'll see if it comes through. I would like to thank Matt from EX model engines for his knowledge and expertise, and Mark Young who has been selling me some killer bee engines. If it doesn't rain this weekend I'm going to fire up a Cox Jeep or dune buggy!

Thank you guys for replying and checking in. It's always been a great Hobby and I love the smell of that cox nitro exhaust. I'm expecting to pick up two or three more original killer bees in the box, and or maybe a modified one. That specific engine fits in the dune blaster but will need to be broken and carefully I'm going to make another attempt to get the dune blaster dune buggy screaming at top speed!

Welcome back to the forum, @Bill steklenski!
There are a few CEF forum members who live near you, one is @Ken Cook, an avid Cox and other engines fan and a C/L and F/F flyer.

Yes, we'd like to hear your stories of your Cox buggies in repair and in action! Thumbs Up

Thanks for checking in Mr ghostler! I have heard your username before but never caught your real name. And yes I know Ken cook he's a great guy and very very knowledgeable, probably one of the smartest control line guys I've met in many years of the hobby. I would like to upload some photos in the near future unfortunately right now I'm doing everything from my cell phone. But I'll be meeting up with some friends soon that can h.elp me out with this. We have had many good hobbyists and collectors come and go here in Pennsylvania in the last 20 years, Bill Morbacher, Dave Evans, Don Kozcienski, and even a couple others have gone to rest but let's continue to enjoy the hobby together in unity and camaraderie! Over the years I've done a lot of testing with the Cox 049 car engines, years back I ran the Cox Jeep 20 times in a row on 30% racing fuel and it did not distort the original off-white-colored delrin back plate, I also ran the jeep with a TD 049 cylinder and had to think screaming so hard that it's not the connecting rod and poked a hole through the aluminum crankcase, I don't have any intentions of abusing these toys but on occasion I like to put them to the test. I'm currently running a dragonfly 049 cylinder on the Cox dune blaster and soon will be testing it with a killer bee engine! It's amazing how we have all learned so much more about these gas powered toys and the Cox engines then we knew when we were kids.

Bill, please tell me you still have the Adam-12 Matador. You showed it to me at the last swap meet I saw you at. It was terrific looking. Adam -12 is a favorite tv show of mine since I was a kid. Your car just brought a smile to me when I laid eyes on it. Ken
