Extended flight time
Hello folks, first post here. I am getting back into 1/2a and I was wondering if its possible to extend the flight time of a Golden Bee with an external fuel tank? I'm planning on using it on a small rc plane. Thanks and hope to learn more about 1/2a stuff and contribute to the group.

Re: Extended flight time
The free flight guys would drill a 1/4" hole in the side of the tank and attach the tubing to the nipple in the backplate through the hole. Normally a Babe Bee was used for this because it was shorter and may vibrate less. The Golden bee would work but is kind of worth slightly more as it is.

Re: Extended flight time
Welcome You could get one of these:
https://coxengines.ca/back-end/cox--049-backplate-assembly.html
This will bolt straight on your Golden Bee. It will replace your tank assembly, and allows the use of any external fuel tank. The ”snorkel” can be removed, allowing a little bit easier mounting of the engine.
There is an R/C version of that backplate too, should you want to add throttle control.
