*Cox Engine of The Month* Submit your pictures! -December 2022-
Notice: Remember, the rules have been updated effective September 2022!
Rules: You may post *one (1) picture of an engine or a group of engines that are alike (for example: a collection of Space Bug Jr.s that feature each color tank). The engine must be a Cox engine, it can be stock or parts built. Cox engines using aftermarket or handmade parts and multi-cylinder engines are allowed as long as they feature Cox made crankcase(s) and cylinder(s). Although proof is not required, engines that are built using aftermarket or handmade parts have to be able to run. A good example of a non-running homemade engine that wouldn't qualify for this contest is found HERE. Disassembled engines are allowed as long as all parts are visible and the engine is in running condition when assembled. We ask that you wait a minimum of two months before resubmitting a photo that was featured in last-month's Cox Engine of the Month poll. Photos that have previously been chosen as Cox Engine of the Month since the inception of the contest may not be re-submitted, however an engine featured may be rephotographed.
If you are unsure whether your picture qualifies, feel free to contact the administrator with questions.
* You may post multiple "pictures" as long as they are all joined together in one picture. (This is done in image editing software before uploading)
MAIN POINTS
•One picture
•Picture shall be of one engine or engines that are alike (a Babe Bee and a Tee Dee .049 together would NOT qualify)
•Must be a Cox Engine
•Engines using aftermarket or handmade parts must feature Cox made crankcase(s) and cylinder(s)
•Engine must be able to run
•Picture must not have been featured in last-month's poll (you may re-submit that picture next month).
•Picture must not have won as Cox Engine of the Month in the past
Optional Caption
Along with your picture you may include a caption that describes or explains the picture. The caption should include the name and displacement of the engine. The length of the caption shall be reasonable and not too long. Captions are subject to minor editing by the administrator. If no caption/description is provided, one will be made for it.
After 5 days, the first 10 pictures will be moved to another topic to be voted on by other members. Only active members may vote. The winner will have their engine displayed on the sidebar of the forum and forever listed on the past winners page.
Looking forward to see what you guys come up with! Good Luck!

Hi SoSam,
Do you have any vid of the Peewee running with the RC carb assembly, how well did it idle?
I recall the for bid / sale Japan website posting those pics and selling a few for the .020 and
also had the adapter for the .049 see below. Do you have the link still?
Pic from the site about 1.2yrs ago perhaps - didn't save the link.

There are 9, however 1 might be a pic from a sales site / throttled rear intake Peewee.
Check with SoSam to confirm.

Fui muy confundido hasta que recuente las fotos.
I was very confused until I recounted the photos.
1. 1/2A Nut - Silver Speedy .051
2. KariFS - .049 Rudolph the Red Nosed BabeBee
3. fredvon4 - .049 Medallion with Old Style Throttle
4. sosam117 - .020 Cox Pee Wee with choke throttle
5. MauricioB - .020 Tee Dee with Custom exhaust throttle
6. getback - Some .049 Space Bug Jr's
7. rdw777 - .049 Golden Bee
8. modelbuilder49 - .049 Golden Bee on Wanda Witch C/L
9. 706jim - .020 Pee Wee pusher on Dumas John Boat.
OK, an easy fix, here is the 10th:
.020 Cox Pee Wee on Ace R/C Littlest Stick, Allied version.

throttled Pee Wee 020 details.
My throttled Pee Wee is one where I purchased the throttle from the Japanese auction site for $36.89.
Then the proxy bidder services cost of $8.63.
After that the shipping cost of $14.27 to ship it from Buyee (proxy bidder) warehouse to my address.
Total cost was: $62.58
Both throttles were posted for auction Dec. 21,2020 and closed Dec. 25,020 by the same seller.
Also, won the auction for the Baby Bee .049 throttle carburetor from the same seller/ auction site.
Winning bid was $29.68, as I was the only bid on this one.
Then the shipping from the seller to Buyee (proxy bidder with their fees) and below is the screen shot of that total fee before shipping to my address.
I have yet to mount it on a Baby Bee engine and try it.
I like how the wording is on me winning the auction ---- You won't be in the Auction!
Translating you won the auction doesn't translate well?
Have I run the Pee Wee with the throttle -- Yes.
On 15% nitro with a 4.5x2 Cox gray prop.
Throttle wide open -- RPM is 18,000 --- 19,000 rpm.
Throttled down -- 8,000 --- 9,000 RPM
Mounted the engine using from the Ace Hardware store those nylon "standoffs" to where they were long enough to clear the carb.
It works similar like the Sure Start Cox.049 throttle. It just isn't facing upwards.
I have a few Sure Start engines but are still in the bags they came in.
When it goes from idle to full throttle it sometimes sputters or once in a while quits.
It might work better on higher nitro but 15% is the highest I have on hand.
This seller has throttles for Tee Dee .020 / Tee Dee .049/.051
And the throttles for the Pee Wee 020 / .049 engines.
So, in total I did purchase/bid on one each of the Pee Wee carb, the .049 Baby Bee carb, Tee Dee 020 (lost -didn't win) and the Tee Dee .049 carb (need to take photo of that -- not run yet.)
And the total was well over $150.00 for it.
Have I purchased anymore Cox items from there? No.
Between Buyee (proxy buyer's fees) and the shipping costs, you really have to think about if you really want that item?
And the other thing to think about is, if there is a problem with the item, what is the return policy to the seller?

No video --- sorry. I do have a digital camera (Cannon Powershot A40 -- 2.0 mega pixels)
No smart phone -- have answering machine and phone on the wall.
Not really a high-tech guy.
