Wooow this is Interesting this engine Seems to be connected with a drive chaft to the rear I have never seen that It would be a good start to build a model that needs a closer center of gravity Pilatus porter or Somting wit that long and thin cowl cool model

Re: Testors BD -5 Spinner WANTED
Finding the genuine article maybe sort of a needle in a haystack, but sometimes never can tell, someone may have dibs on it.
I haven't seen posts on that rare Testors aircraft until yours. (Vaguely I remember seeing one maybe 35 years ago, at Toys-R-Us?) Perhaps someone could machine or print one? What is the diameter of the base of the spinner and its length? How is it attached? Is your purpose for static display, or do you plan to fly it?
Short of the original, just wondering if the cap of a Sharpie pen could be adapted into a reasonable static facsimile of the spinner?

Matt at Ex Model Engines had one for sale late last year, yeah it's an unusual set-up for sure:

Interesting, appears it didn't have much of a bearing system to support thw extension shaft. With such high rpm, it would be easy to run dry.
