Surprises............
Mailman err lady just knocked on my back door saying she just left a couple of packages on the breezeway deck and she didn't want them to get wet. I follow tracking numbers so I can leave the door open for her but they never showed as being shipped. Neither of these two had even post office acceptance, only that a shipping label had been created.
Oh well, The P-26 was won with a single bid along with the Gilbert. Rare one with the not often seen aqua color and the throttled engine. Franklin Mint Dauntless? well, I don't know. Just wanted one in the box so I could hang the other on the wall.

Yes.. a very nice surprise! (if your receiving-area/workshop could talk..) Have you thought about posting an ad for modelers of similar interests for possible joint-projects?

Do you have something in mind?
Just this morning I was reading a story in February's Air Classics about Polikarov's "Record setting" Biplane with perhaps 30,000 built. A Soviet era airplane. Interesting story about how the Russians would burn worn examples rather that save them (A decadent western nostolgia trait.) So only a few survive to this day. Yet the East Germans disassembled and hid away a few.
I love Bipes and this one winds my clock. The nose blending down into the radial like the P-26 Peashooter, The over-lap rudder, the "N" struts, the exterior controls for elevator and rudder, the simple slab sides, and the history. Should be a snap to model.
Perhaps you and Eric. Eric loves bipes too, or Kim a new camera plane, or Ken, he does free flight bipes. Me? My contribution is the idea.
