Wanted: TD 09 venturi/spraybar/needle assembly
Hi Guys,
I'm chasing a venturi/spraybar/needle assembly for a TD09.
Can anyone help? I'm in Australia so no one stocks TD parts and ebay has been no help at all.
Many thanks,
Matt.

Hey Matt, I don't know how to reply without sounding like a killjoy.
Although not discussed much, there's a few who would offer a lefty
to find what you're looking for. I've have new cases and piston/cylinder
sets waiting for cranks and intake parts. Keep an ear to the
ground, and good luck. Your chances are as good as anybody's.

I'm from Wales, UK, and in a similar boat...
Mecoa list the black plastic carb " manifold" but are "reluctant" to send stuff to UK.
Anyone agree in principle to do a "joint order" for mecoa parts and then send the parts I need to UK.
Of course this would take some organising and trust initially but I could send funds for my needed parts and shipping costs prior to a combined order. The lad knows how to do PayPal...
I will make a list of the parts I need and post on this thread....

Just been to mecoa site...
These would be my basic parts needs...
Cox td09 black plastic Venturi mount. 86-C0903@ 7 each. 4 off. 28dollars
Replacement cylinder head 911-046. @ 14dollars
Glow plug k+b 1L 7311. @ 19. 2 off. 38dollars.
So,
28 + 14 + 38 = 80 dollars
80 + shipping to "organiser" + repackaging and shipping to uk as a "gift" ?
As said if this was to go ahead, I would pay my costs prior to the organiser actually ordering the parts I need.
Matt over at exmodelengine did say he was going to have made some of the 09 Venturi mounts but I suspect he is up to his eyes with nappies ( dypers ? )...hope your keeping well Matt and family, I check your site about twice a week....

I did try to make similar arrangements a while ago to have MECOA parts shipped to me in Australia by a third party, due to their high shipping and insurance costs. I had a couple of positive offers from members here (thanks guys), but after factoring in two lots of shipping (even if economy) and the messing around, I found that it was hardly worth the effort as the saving was negligible.
I'm not sure about the UK, but MECOA have sent stuff to me in AUS without any problem. Currently the biggest hurdle is the requirement to use increased cost insured shipping. Interestingly, my main shopping list item was a TeeDee .09 venturi as well!

Busy with house and car, once they are off my back I will pick up the td09 batten and try again. No real rush but would like the parts with me so I can make the models for them.
It's a pita getting parts for these 09's but they run well and are good performers, animals really as they have "good bite"...
049 parts are quite easy to get from send model supplies which is good...

Why purchase the "plastic" venturi mount when you can purchase the "aluminum venturi mount from Matt (EX Model Engines) or Burnie (Cox International) which are better than the plastic ones that will crack over time?
Only thing I do when installing any of the aluminum venturi mount is to use (very sparingly and carefully) some Permatex sealant inside the venturi mount to seal up any air leaks?
Never had any problems with cracking venturi mounts after that.
