The Fox .049 and .07 use the same plug. The problem with the Fox plugs is that they fail with regularity and are very undependable. I truly believe it's mainly due to Fox using the thinnest wire available. The plugs glow practically white. Now the weird thing is that I have knocked out the post on the stock Fox plugs. I drilled and tapped for a standard plug like the link that Eric shows on RC Groups. The engine ran better than the stock plug. After I tapped the plug hole, I took a cut on the top and sunk the plug so that the plug was flush with the combustion face. I truly believe this is why it works so well.

Bob Matte Free Flight Engine Rework can also provide you with a ring that threads into the Fox cylinder but utilizes Cox glow plugs. This would enable the use of Nelson head adapters or turbo head adapters as well. You have a fair amount of options. The next problem is when the crankshaft blows apart and then you have to find another.
