Medallion 09 Venturi + needle valve assembly
Hello,
Just bought this engine, which is in fact is a Medallion with Tee Dee carburetor (altough listed as a Tee Dee, I should have been aware of the aluminium drive plate...).
As the plastic carburator body is broken as usual, I'm looking to make it "stock" again, but I need a venturi and needle/spray bar assembly.
Regards

Fledgling
I am after the plastic carb bodies for a td09 from Matt at exmodelengines, he says he is having some 3d printed and will show them as in stock when ready. Shouldn't be too long now hopefully.

Fine ! Furthermore, Mecoa have all plastic parts in stock, I already bought from them for my .049 Medallion.
But I also need needle valve and spray bar (there's no refrabrication of this items, I think that they're almost unobtainium this days)

Mecoa don't seem to want to export to UK unless a large order...I understand the issue with them, the farce of Brexit. Bloody Tories !

I can understand Brexit is a real pain on shipping to and from UK... But last year I bought some parts from Mecoa to France with no issue, the plastic parts for Cox engines they make are really nice ! But I would like to buy all the stuff from one place (venturi, needle, spray bar, spring, circlips) to save on shipping cost.

I got this engine (Medallion .09) from my friend in Australia.
He used an Enya .09 U/Control (free flight) needle valve assembly because trying to get Cox parts in Australia is tough.
He used little washers to center the needle valve hole in the venturi.
I gave Allan ( my Australia friend) a few PAW diesels for some of his Cox engines.

I have a Enya .09 spraybar, I would be curious to see if it's wider in diameter because I believe it is. The Medallion spraybar is turned down in the throat area meaning that Enya spraybar could be costing you some power.

Enya has old spraybars but they also have newer one made as well.
I just got an order from Ken Enya for some Enya .09-III spraybars.

I have the older version which isn't stepped. Interesting to know.

On my order to Ken Enya, I ordered "four" .09 needle valve assemblies.
Three of them were the old style and the fourth was the stepped needle valve.
Maybe I go the last of the "old" stock and "one" of the new stock?
Or that needle valve is/was used in a different Enya .09 (version 4 or 5 or 6) but my original .09-III wasn't stepped?

Re: Medallion 09 Venturi + needle valve assembly
I tried the little guy last week-end. Runs fine, but seems very tight fit for a Cox engine IMHO.
Despite the strange fit of the aftermarket aluminium carb body (I can pass a paper sheet between carb body and crankcase, cylinder side), it seems to be ok.
