Hello,

I'd like to install a muffler on my Cox Lazy Bee. I purchased two exhausts. One is intended for for the Cox/Kyosho Nissan GTP. I thought perhaps I could make a little muffler can and attach it onto the barbed fitting at some point in the future. The other muffler is just the standard ring type with a tiny little hole on one side. Eventually I'd love to find one of those Tatone type mufflers those look pretty cool. But in the mean time I'm not quite sure how to install these. I think I may have to take the cylinder off but I'm not quite sure how to do that. Any advice?\

Yeah, you'll have to remove the cylinder:

UNLESS, you utilize one of Roddie's innertube mufflers!! I can not find the post by Roddie and his muffer....Roddie where is it? ?

Well, that was confusing. So why is it that the top is to be with the flange up if using a starter spring, and down if not? I am not understanding why.

I do believe it is to allow clearance if the Starter Spring to wrap around the bottom of the cylinder? ??
Re-read the first paragraph, Flange down with spring, flange up without spring.

Sound like u nead the professionnel advice y use al of them and it wil Not fit on al .049 on the bee engine al of them wil fit wit cars engine just the old cox smaler one fit only the gtp wil fit wit nead modification To the crank. cars engine the larger exaust nead larger exit larger hole and if u want To use on black widow golden bee Venom al engine wit spi wil lost power rpm may run longer du To lower rpm  the texaco wit larger ventury like the black widow tank ventury size wil gain power using the gtp exaust collector wit smal .7 pipe texaco dont use spi sur start cylinder Good performance upgrades for exaust if use black widow type cylinder best change for non spi cylinder gtp exaust collector work bether just wil not change sound mutch like wit the larger one gtp exaust nead pipe To work for sound its very Noisy straight pipe wit just tube To direct exaust gtp exaust collector work wit the egr valve sistem

Be carefull, the instructions are not correct. Allways mount the muffler flange down. If you mount it the other way i.e. flange up, you won't be able to screw the cylinder down all the way. I've tried it. It doesn't work

If use the gtp exaust collector. Nead its ground cylinder To fit without modification To the parts the cylinder wil Not Screw to the bottom  and left the  spi close wit big lost in compression its posible To modify glow plug for extra compression exept witout large pipe for back presure wil Not work and lost performance it only work wit very large ventury extra compression plus tuned pipe and after al litle modification engine just back To its normal power mabe litle extra rpm wit Nice sound y tink for the golden bee best its use the large exaust new from cox dril two new hole enlarge the one alredy there two hole on the side wit one in the Front pointing the prop just dont dril To large try smaler first them enlarge after test m'y self Not using the spi in Most of m'y tuned modified engines simple change cylinder for non spi use normal glow plug How to install Cox Muffler? 16133713

Tube on the egr valve gtp collector place on top never revers the cox exaust fit wit the hex down Not on the top in fact if Not fit its because the hexagon size to big use file angle grinder dremel tool To take Of the material nead To fit on aluminium 8cc tank it need the one wit larger plastiques reed valve retaner chim Not the paper gasket wit Reed clip retaner its To tight wit crankcase and tank  dont try chim fuel tank wil result damage To crankchaft piston rod Most new parts wil fit wit new engine wit plastiques back plate older engine need fit test lots litle adjustment To fit correct new parts take time To instal the parts carfuly remove cylinder just exemple of the gtp egr valve type exaust collector Not silencer it self its manifold for exaust sistem look how it work wit valve the tuned pipe behind the valve How to install Cox Muffler? 16133810
