Re: Who want´s it ? SOLD !
@ Jim , Bob and Kari ,
sad News first,
went to an other DHL office this morning and the friendly employee replied,
due the covid 19 pandemic , each single shippment to the US
no matter if its one bubble envelope or small cardbox parcel
"MUST" be charged 55.- Euro minimum for DHL Air-mail service which jumps over
"his desk".......and yes ....he says ......thats crazy.
His words: this will also affect 2020"Christmas Gift" DHL Airmail Parcel Service ,
Germany to the US.
The better News,
after searching www. , DHL offers much cheaper but slower "Intl. Seaways" option ,
30 days or more, only online avail., so I choose this one.
Already printed out stickers and will be picked up tomorrow (saturday)
by DHL parcel service . How that sounds ? 30 days or more ? for
15,81 Euro......BINGO !!!! and Harleyluja .
Small parcel contains
2 x .15 COX Charlie´s Heads , 1 NIB , 1 slightly used
+ 1 used/working COX Tee Dee .15 Glow Plug
+ 1 new COX .15 Tee Dee Venturi.
After all ,
shipping DHL seaways seems to me the only option along these covid days.
Now its out of my reach from now on.

Peter,
The "better news" sounds pretty good. Again, thanks
for all the work you're putting into this. Greatly appreciated.
Bob
Jim,
Let me know the shipping to me, so I can cover that, and
thanks for your help also.

Re: Who want´s it ? SOLD !
Gentlemen,
I owe this thread a bit of time to recap what just happened on a PC...this happened a lot faster than I expected, so I want to review what we just got into on a bigger screen. More to follow in about 12 hours.
I just checked the Euro to Dollar rate. I was really shocked to see this isn't at all what I expected. I thought it was going to be cost prohibitive.
Thanks GB, we will square up shortly.

I forgot to mention ,
all these parts was given to me from the Widow of a passed CL Buddy.
All the money will go back to the Widow.

He was a non smoker his entire life,
half marathon runner,
sanding carbon fiber not wearing a mask
lung cancer took his life.
Doctors found carbon fiber particles in his lungs.
RIP F2B-B Peter Pietsch.

Re: Who want´s it ? SOLD !
Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for the effort you've expended sending parts this way. I wanted to make sure I knew to call Peter, well, Peter. That is a bit more personal than GB.
Are you also on StuntHanger or RCGroups? I thought I saw something on one of them last week that seemed to be you.
Do you do PayPal? This way I can cover your price and expense of delivery. It will do the $$ to Euro conversion, I believe. I will check on that shortly.
For Peter and Bob Dickerson,
I suggest that I pay Peter for the lot he sent, and then Bob can pay me his piece. That way we minimize the cross-payments and piecing together the different directions the parts will go.
If you are both good with this, then we can take this to completion via email. I don't want to tie up valuable PM space here (Inbox space is a valuable commodity), and email can be a three-way as we work the financial details out.
What say you, gentlemen?

Re: Who want´s it ? SOLD !
Ron,
The whole enchilada was to come to me, and then I was to forward the venturi to Bob. I did text him a week or few ago just to say "nothing here yet."
I told Bob I would shoulder the buying and getting here, and then once here he could reimburse for the part, and pay getting to him. I figured no sense in both of us being out if this went bad.
When Peter and I were working out arrangements, I noted it was about 10 hours between responses. I think timing was just because of time differences, and personal responsibilities on either side of the clock.
There isn't anything for Peter to do so ce he shipped. Now it is just a waiting game for the slow boat from Chin, er, Germany.
I was researching my PMs for something else when I decided to see how long ago Peter sent it. It has been something like nine or eleven weeks.
Peter, is there any chance you have a tracking number?
Someone once told me "don't take chances you can't afford to lose." I think of that each time I PayPal payment to a "friend." I also try to keep RCGroups/StuntHanger transactions under a certainly limit unless the seller indicates wanting either extra funds to cover his loss on a commercial PP transaction, or that the seller wants it for verified mailing address. I understand that...who wants to sell something for $15 and $5 shipping just to let PP take away a couple of dollars?
So I sit patiently waiting on the goodies.

Sorry friends
but Covid slows it down immensely.
Because Covid , DHL ONLY OFFERS Seaways , 30 days and looonger.
Could be stuck at US Customs ?.
If the parcel wont show up by the end of February ,
I will send FULL REFUND via Paypal , my promise , my word.
After this , I only can declare its LOST on Seaways.
SORRY FRIENDS but Covid kicks my .ss BIG TIME.
Tracking is RM661471720DE
Best Regards
Peter
GER-1223
btw
I have send K&B engine parts to Motorman from Stunt Hangar Forum but "NO NEWS" so far.
I know its a (covid) shame but cant change it.

Re: Who want´s it ? SOLD !
I purchased an Enya (.049-II) from a guy (off *Bay -- seller lives in South Africa) back in November 4th,2020 and received it the 11th of January.
I'm still waiting on another Enya (.06-II) from Germany (seller lives in Frankfurt) that I also purchased from *Bay and that was purchased November 29,2020.
Some reason, the customs ticket has that it went to Great Britain?
Here is photos of the Enya 049 -- Before and after cleaning
Cleaned:
Hoping the Enya .06-II will be delivered in the next week or so?
Here is the photo of the Enya .06 engine from *Bay sale.

Mike, from one Enya lover to another, you have my admiration. I have got them from France, Australia, and New Zealand, it just takes patience.

Well Bob,
You will be really inspired by the three Enya's that I am getting from Japan.
These engines are something to really collect, they have never been run and they were built over 40 years ago.
I was advised by the current (now previous) owner to get replacement gaskets and other items needed to get them working.
They have been sitting for so long in the original oil preservative, that the engine are stuck and will not turn.

Re: Who want´s it ? SOLD !
Just a quick update...the package from Germany arrived today. An email has been sent to Bob and Peter to let them know.
Bob, I need to review what our arrangement was for the venturi.
Peter, thank you so much!
